We have been on other tours and feel like this one is the most detailed one. It goes past the historic Wolf Point toward the North Branch then back down South. The tour ends with a short stop to give everyone time to get a selfie with the city skyline in the background.

Basically everyone I spoke with about what to do while in Chicago said the boat tour was a must. AGREED. We decided to take this particular tour based on the many great reviews on Trip Advisor. Definitely well worth it - our tour guide was awesome. She knew so much about every building we passed and it was quite fascinating.... More

We took the 11am tour today with our out of town guests. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a very organized operation and even on July 5 (major holiday weekend) it was full but everything moved efficiently and on time. I'd recommend getting to your boarding point 20-30 minutes ahead of departure to cue up for boarding and the... More

Our guide on this Architecture river cruise was a volunteer from the foundation and was very informative and easy to understand. The cruise is 1 1/2 hours and the time went by very quickly. Take a light jacket even if it is hot. It can get a bit cool on the river. A camera is a must. I can honestly... More

Excellent boat tour of the architecture and history of Chicago. My brother and I came for a three day trip to Chicago and it was just a great start to the trip as it gave us a great background of the city and the architecture - not to mention it was beautiful.

First, the tour was excellent - both the docent and the views were amazing. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and well-versed about all of the buildings we viewed, and she put them in historical context or provided interesting trivia. Substantial route, beautiful vistas, perfect way to orient yourself with the city and see the buildings in a new way. But... More

Our volunteer docent (Tom) had an amazing range of facts at his fingertips about the buildings we were passing. An interesting insight into the city and I now have a far greater appreciation for a diversity of architectural designs and feats of engineering. Thank you, Tom. Note - can get chilly near the lake so take a wrap just in... More

Chicago is a very fine city with much great architecture. The boat itself was fine and was a reasonably, although not a superlatively good way to see it. Service on the boat was fine. Service getting onto the boat was confused. After lining up for 15 minutes, the attendant waived through late comers in front of the line (which really... More

We decided to do this last minute on our last day as it was recommended by someone at a shop we visited. The weather didn't really cooperate as it was 58 and drizzly but we still had a good time. Our guide was funny and informative. Definitely worth a ride!
