Sunday gospel brunch: more entertainment than gospel.

Maybe when a decent band is on, I could drink here. Just maybe. But eat here? Oh no. It's rubbish. We had some chicken wings and ribs. Both came way, way too fast; never a good sign. Very poor quality indeed. Rubber and reheated. There must be better live music places that serve food in a city this good.

I went here on a Sunday night solo. There is no cover charge in the restaurant / bar part of the House of Blues. I saw Studebaker John and Guy King. Studebaker John in particular was excellent and I have now bought 2 of his albums. The beer is great (I had Belgium White) and the service is prompt and... More

Brought my dad and my son to their first HOB visit. I purposely arrived early so that they would be able to take in all the great folk art decor. Staff was helpful. Food was amazing. Well, except the eggs. They were subpar. But. The rest of the food is fantastic. Wonderful gospel music. Which my party agreed seemed too... More

Great atmosphere in The House of Blues, the music was good and the food tasty. We shared a jalapeno corn bread to start, and then my husband had the Mac and Cheese with lobster, which he loved. I had the Blackened Shrimp salad – the prawns were yummy, but the dish was expensive for just 6 prawns! Especially as the... More

This was a great place to stop for a drink and also if you pop in around dinner time, stay to eat dinner and most times there is early entertainment for free!

Went to the House of Blues with some college friends. We were invited to the Foundation Room and enjoyed a more intimate environment with a mixed crowd. The music was great. The dj was wonderful and we met some really great people.

Great venue, but wish I would have known there was only seating available for an additional charge. Sound and visual aspects were great! You can order food, but only if you're in the restaurant. There's a limited menu of bar food available in the venue. That was a bummer! Now I know for next time! Heard the gospel brunch is... More

We attended a teenage variety band performance on a Sunday afternoon. We sat at a table and waited over 10 minutes for a server when none came one of our group went to the bar and got drinks. We were then told that to sit at the table we had to put up $50.00. They would not count the drinks... More
