It's been a long time since I've been here, but I remember there were no seats on the floor, only standing room. Well, at that time I was able to stand for a show. I can no longer because of back and hip problems. I also remember the staff was not very welcoming and parking is an expensive nightmare! There... More

Stopped by yesterday to checkout I Am Fest. I've never been to a HOB and was blown away. Keep in mind I'm saying that because it is a dining, chain, venue. Loved the music, the artwork, and the staff. Our bartender (Raul?) was so easy going, and fun to talk with. He said he'd been there since they opened and... More

Looking for one last fix of blues, went to HoB on N. Dearborn. Cornbread with maple butter and street tacos to start. Yum! Buttermilk chicken and meatloaf for mains. All were well-prepared, hot and flavourful. Blues soloist (Mississipi Gabe Carter) playing when we arrived. Mississippi Heat started at 9:00 PM ($10/pp cover charge waived since we were eating. All-in-all a... More

You can never go wrong dining here. The food and drink selections are plentiful and very pleasing. There were 7 in our party and the order came out quickly. My husband lives the Juicy Lucy. I highly recommend it to any burger lover. I had the fish if the day which was salmon. Delicious! Prices are very reasonable and the... More

Hi there! I'm still blushing from your review! The Juicy Lucy is definitely one of the more popular menu items, so your husband is not in the minority! If he likes heat, he should definitely give the Heat Seeker a whirl! It takes burgers to a new level. I will happily pass on your good experience to our staff as... More

We attended our first ever Gospel Brunch at HOB (Chicago) earlier today. I've been to HOB in Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach, but this was our first time at a Gospel Brunch. The staff were wonderful, the food was incredible (chicken and waffles, who would have thought?) and the music (featuring Gregg & F.R.I.E.N.D.S.) was outstanding. The small amount of... More

A nice place for tasting a different culture in a quiet environment and close to most of the hotels in Chicago. I don't know if it is a "real" place or it is "designed" for tourist, but my experience there -we where invited to a private party during a congress- was very good and consider it a good option for... We are speechless. This place has the best service. I emailed the general managers assistant for some info because I couldn't find the website. She was so helpful. We made reservations but had a small communication error. NOT even a small deal but smaller. To our surprise when we were seated we ate and the manager on duty came to... More

We went and saw Three Days Grace and Sick Puppies. The venue is very nice, so many interesting things in this building it is hard to explain, just something to be seen. The venue was very small, 1100 people and all general admission. We actually found a great way to enjoy. Get the dinner package, it is a little expensive,... More

I enjoyed the food and the company. Servers were awesome and attentive to our large group. I liked the music and loved it even more later in the evening. I was impressed with the decor, detailing the house of blues history. Great place to unwind!

Crossroads at the House of Blues is a great place to catch some live music for next to nothing in Chicago. My wife and I visited twice on our recent trip to Chicago. The live music starts at 8pm and as long as you get in before 9pm there's no cover ($10 per person after 9pm) and there's no dress... More
