This is a don't miss in Chicago. Up the elevator to the 96th floor, my ears pop 3 times. Great view gets even better after the sun sets. Drinks are getting more expensive, but the view makes up for it.

Being from the flatland we don't get to see views like this. 96 floors up and Unbelievable! Prices may have been high for drinks and food but the small menu offered some pretty decent food. Bit of a wait to get up top and seated but our view was fantastic in the southwest corner. Be sure to check it out.

While on a visit to Chicago a group of us visited the Signature Bar and Observation Deck. The views were astounding as it was a very clear afternoon. The drinks in the bar were most enjoyable especially when it was considered that we were imbibing at such a height. The service was excellent and this contributed to the overall enjoyment... More

This place is a must while in town. It was very cool and something different. I wouldn't eat a meal here but it's worth getting a drink and enjoying the sweeping view of the city.

You will need to enter the Hancock building on the north side when it is busy to get in line. We spent about 45 minutes waiting our turn to the top. Our party got split up (momentarily) when the line shifted from north side to south side. Now, I'm not saying that the attendants can't be bribed to let you... More

The view from the women's restroom is boasted to be the best in the city....and it quite possibly could be true. (There is no windows in the men's restroom.) We had a clear, beautiful evening that gave us a wonderful view. It was quite a wait/hassle to get that far though. You basically have to order a $16 drink to... More

We went up to get drinks at the lounge as the sun was setting. Amazing view of the city!! Only complaint is that they are so busy the service was extremely slow.

We trekked it up Michigan Ave for lunch at the Signature room, ended upstairs in the lounge for finger food. (The brunch buffet is $45 per person, so unless you're famished...) Beautiful Sunday afternoon without a cloud in the sky. I must admit the views are outstanding. We got some amazing pictures. There were 6 of us and after a... More

We decided to visit the lounge on a Monday afternoon to avoid the price tag and lines at 360 Chicago. The elevator attendant told us that there was a 2 drink minimum - but when we were seated (35 minutes later), the server said no such thing. The drink menu is small and as you can imagine, expensive. We came... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
