I've practically grown up in this place and almost love it like a part of me. Being up there from time to time recharges me and reminds me why at times I put up with the Chicago I love rather than bolt to another place. The views remain unscathed, and the women's bathroom is seriously one of the most amazing... More

Great view. I came for lunch (had a crabcake salad) and bottle of champagne. Hospitable staff. Come if only for a drink and toast to the city of Chicago!

Went up there to enjoy a afternoon cocktail. Waited in a queue that we were told was for a window seat, which we wanted. After waiting 15 mins we were seated, not at a window seat but at a table right near the queue. Asked if we could move when a seat at a window came available and were rudely... More

We visited in the late afternoon and had no wait for the elevator. It took us a few minutes to get seated. You have to show your ID to board the elevator and again to get a table. The views are spectacular! The ladies bathroom has a floor to ceiling window with the best views in town. Service in the... More

We were vacationing in Chicago and went to the Signature Lounge for cocktails one night. They have great appetizers and good drinks. Prices are to be expected (~$12+ for cocktails). It is a well-oiled machine.... guys direct you up on the elevators, sending you to either the lounge or restaurant. Once off the elevators, another guy is waiting to direct... More

On fellow TripAdvisor reviewer’s advice, we skipped the observation deck and visited the Hancock Building Signature Lounge. Perfect spot for a late afternoon sundowner. There were no queues and we got a table without a problem. You have beautiful views over Chicago and Lake Michigan. Not to be missed!

... and lots of people. Croweded and noisy. A complete bar (restaurant on the floor below) but really it is all about the view. One of two places in town where you can literally see everything for miles. It just happened to be a perfect weather day and we stopped by for a drink befor dinner. Drinks were priced OK... More

It is definitely a must do in Chlcago. You do not need to pay any fee to reach to the lounge on 96th floor. All you pay is what you drink. For the adults , it is better than the sky deck on Sears tower as you do not need to pay any admission.

We had to laugh as the first day we went we were turned away for not having ID. Ah well-- came back the next day with my id that sadly states I am pushing 40! And we were let up. View is great ... Service is pretty terrible. But who cares!! Awesome view from the ladies washroom.

Awesome views and wait time in the line was not bad at all. We went to the sky lounge and had a drink instead of paying to go to the observation deck. This was cool but our seat wasn't next to a window so I had to get up and walk around to see and take pictures. Everyone is doing... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
