Lookingglass has always been an innovative theatre, emphasizing physical action (acrobatics, stilt walking) and specializing in adaptations. Their most famous show, Metamorphoses, is coming back in Fall 2012. A Mary Zimmerman spectacular, it's not to be missed. If you see only one show in Chicago this fall, this should be it. More

The charm and intrigue of Lookingglass Theatre is rooted in its being a black box. Each time the production changes so does the set up of the seating. It's a very small, intimate theater-in-the-round setting but once you're caught up in the show, the space no longer matters.
