Owner description: The Lookingglass Theatre Company seeks to redefine the limits of theatrical experience and to make theatre exhilarating, inspirational, and accessible to all.Through theatre, which invites, even demands, interaction with its audience, the company's goal is to fire the imagination with love, to celebrate the human capacity to taste and smell, weep and laugh, create and destroy, and wake up where we first fell --- changed, charged and empowered.

For those that enjoy performing arts its a must. The venue is unique and special. We saw Alice, the who two hour show was performed by only 5 very special performers. Its intimate, fascinating and quite funny at time. I was mesmerized the whole time. Its not a big expensive production.

We attended Alice @ the Lookingglass Theatre inside of the Water Tower pumping station. The show was great. You are facing the other half of the audience and if you sit in the front row you are sitting on stage. The stage is in the center and is a long rectangle. We sat in the front row 2 seats from... The Alice in Wonderland show was fabulous for the entire family and worth every penny. Our boys (ages 5 and 8) were laughing the entire time. While they might not have followed all the dialogue, they loved the acrobatics and the humorous actors and sets. The theatre is extremely intimate and I don't think there is a bad seat in... More

On December 30th we went to see Lookingglass Alice and what a fantastic evening of entertainment it was. I have been to many shows in the past, more on the east coast and this one in particular rates as one of the best I have seen. The cast was tremendous. The energy and effort that they put into the acts... More

This small theater originated an adaptation of Alice Through the Lookingglass that features amazing physical performances. We were fortunate to see Lauren Hirte playing the role of Alice for her 400th time on New Year's Eve. The story doesn't much matter with all the aerial acts, acrobatics, slapstick, and stunts. While kid-friendly, the event appeals to all ages.

Went to see ALICE at Lookingglass theater last night - packed on a frigid night, that says something. Between having student rush tickets for my kids and validated parking and a relationship w/ restaurants around there; that theater is a great value. On top of that, the play (ALICE) was superb. The leads- Lindsey Whiting and Samuel Taylor were astounding... More

Looking glass Alice could not have been more entertaining. This show is a must see. We laughed and we were amazed. We talked about the show long after the seeing it. Don't read tons of reviews. Just go and have a truly amazing experience.

I am a subscriber to Lyric Opera of Chicago living on the East Coast and for the past few years my ritual when planning a trip to Chicago is to check the schedule of Lookingglass Theater months in advance because their work is world class, the theater is easy to get to, the audience is wonderfully diverse in age/race/suburb/downtwon. This... More

We discovered Lookingglass years ago when we were in town for an event and have taken every opportunity to see a Lookingglass show since then. This time, we came to town primarily to see Lookingglass Alice and were not disappointed. Even my husband (not a big theater fan) enjoyed the show. Between the acting, the physicality, the imaginative sets, the... More
