I have never been disappointed by anything I have seen at Lookingglass. It is intimate theatre at its very best. The location is great whether you live in the area or are staying at a hotel in downtown Chicago. I always park in the John Hancock lot where there is validated parking. This is very close to the theatre.

Great play, all gave great performances, particularly the lead actress. The show gave you a lot to think about after it ended, in my mind it did not have a definitive conclusion. Great for conversation with friends afterwards if you go as a group.

Very convenient location for us from Hotel Felix. We chose it because the play sounded interesting. We thought it would be a comedy, but it was more about how we handle relationships and truth. Saw David Schwimmer there.

This theatre is walking distance from our Chicago apartment. Located inside the former pumping house of the old Chicago Water Tower (one of few buildings to survive the Chicago Fire of 1871), this intimate theatre hosts very interesting plays. I can't remember titles but we have seen a play about the life of Charles Darwin and his wife, another about... More

Went to see Rick Bayless's show. It was very expensive. The first problem was that I went to the Lookingglass Theatre only to find that the show had been changed to another venue. This required getting the car out of the parking garage and fighting traffic to get to the new location in time. It also cost $10 for the... More

I have never experienced disappointment with the Lookingglass performances! My favorite were Peter Pan and Brothers Karamazov. Great stage, so close to the theater goers. Awesome experience!

What a novel concept for dinner theatre. Food, wine, Cirque-like showtime, bathing beauties, acrobats, flamenco dancing, more food, more wine and Rick Bayless cooking and falling in love! What's not to like? It was fun, engaging, delicious, and a great evening out! Performance is at the Goodman Theatre. Don't be late!

I teach theatre at Beloit College and we routinely attend plays at Lookingglass. The plays are consistently artistically and thematically engaging. Our groups leave the experience appreciating how theatre can entertain while provoking questions and conversation.

Though I live several hours north of Chicago, I love going to the city, especially for the theatre. Lookingglass has become my first choice, due to their interesting choices of plays, and their outstanding productions. 'Metamorphosis', "Still Alice', and 'In the Garden' were all absolutely top-drawer. I'll certainly check the Lookingglass calendar when I'm in need of another dose of... More

This is a most attractive and interesting venue. One gets a chance to stroll around the water plant before going to theater. Theater is comfortable and sight lines good from all seats. We saw In The Garden, and it was a wonderful production and extremely well acted.
