My wife spent the week in Chicago and went to see the Blue Man Group perform at the Briar Theater. Be aware of the strobe lighting if you have issues the them. The show was funny, musical, interactive, and very entertaining. If you don't want to wear a plastic poncho don't sit close to the stage. The theater is small... More

I took my kids (ages 13 and 10) to see Blue Man Group in August 2015. I have seen it twice before but it has been 10 years since my last show. My kids did enjoy it and it was something different to do over summer break. The show had some skits that I remember from long ago but also... More

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed many parts of the Blue Man Group. They were funny and entertaining. But they brought out these giant cell phones and it just seemed more like a movie than live entertainment. I wanted the Blue Man Group themselves to "do" more things. When I go to a show with actors, I expect them... More

First time for us and we enjoyed. Middle section no bad seats. First 6 rows had to wear ponchos. My 13 yr old son laughed quite a bit as did my wife and i. There are some slow and drawn out spots. They could shorten those parts or add some new material. To make it not get so boring in... More

We were fortunate to sit near the front of the theater. I've seen Blue Man Group before in Boston and New York and, because of the wider theater in Chicago, extremely close seats actually made it more difficult to see certain parts of the stage during parts of the performance. I'll also note that, while the performance is enjoyable, it... More

We took an 8 year old girl and she loved it. We've seen the show before and still found it enjoyable.

I've fought going to this show for years, thinking I'd tire of the blue guys drumming. A friend told me he took his kids, and it was much funnier than he expected. He was 100% correct! The show is silly, funny, messy, and interactive with the crowd. Even if the 'crowd participants' were staged, it didn't matter because it was... More

This shows presents 3 guys that are supposed to be mimes, but the are not, they just don't talk and are blue, the show relays in several light effects, lots of props and live percusions. There's not an interesting guideline in the show, just random jokes that included spiting, inviting the audience to do stuff, getting wet, catching balls with... More

This place has a great charm. From start of the show it captures the audience attention and participation. Combination of humour, drama, music and stories it is wonderful to see how the 3 main blue man actors engage with the crowd. If you have time, do visit. It is two hour show and tickets need to be bought in advance... More

We took our five teen and tweeny (11 being the youngest) to see the show and they loved it! It is the perfect amount of fun, gross out moments and music. The audience participation is hilarious. We say in the pauncho section and really felt a part of the show and didn't get too much on us either so don't... More
