My wife and I visited this historical church on our recent visit to Chicago, and we were impressed. Is it convenient to Michigan Ave

Visited for Sunday mass while in Chicago. It has a welcoming exterior despite its size and the mass itself was easy to hear, they had a choir and the music was beautiful. A lovely experience of quiet and serenity in the windy city!

I can't help but feel bad in giving a cathedral a ho hum rating, so first of all, to whom it may concern, I'm sorry. I think maybe I've just seen so many beautiful churches in my travels around the world that I can't help but compare. While normally I would agree that pictures don't do grand spaces justice, in... Had tea at the Peninsula hotel and had time prior to visit the Cathedral again so it was really nice.

This church is very beautiful. When we arrived for weekend Mass, there was a wedding in progress. Everyone there was in a festive mood. This would also be a great site to enjoy some quiet time and take a break from sightseeing.

An absolutely fantastic plcae to visit, for many reasons. There is the religious thing, and more interesting, to me, the gangster thing.... Ask about the 'lucky' hole on the steps, and then again, look at the steps as opposed to the width of the doors ???? Enough said, check it out

Holy Name is a beautiful cathedral near the downtown area. We were looking for a Catholic Church for Sunday mass an found the perfect church. Check the schedule and attend one of the masses with the local Chicagoans.

This is a beautiful and graceful, old Catholic church in downtown Chicago. It is the heart of the diocese and we love attending mass here on occasion when visiting Chicago. If you are plaaning to attend a holiday mass, go early and be prepared to stand in line.

I liked being able to attend daily Mass in the morning or on the way back from the workday. Was early and found evening prayer before Mass was a staple. Well-attend on a Monday evening, I felt welcome even though I was a visitor.
