Visited this church for mass on Easter Sunday. A nice mass and a beautiful church to visit. The architecture inside was gorgeous.

During our 3 days visit in Chicago, we attended Mass at Holy Name Cathedral. Very much at peace and enjoyed the visit.

The Peace and Tranquility you feel when entering the church is astounding. I often go before a Doctor's appointment at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and it's relaxing and passionate all at the same time. I feel inner peace in my heart, soul, and mind while in the mist of the beautiful art.

You will not regret visiting this beautiful church, even if you are not going to pray. The interior is ornate in a subtle way and the outside is neogothic and interesting.

A beautiful structure inside and out. Mass is usually packed and the choir is superb. Parking is generally sparse so try public transportation.

Holy Name Cathedral is Chicago's answer to Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. All the beauty you would expect in a world class cathedral.

We are visiting from Los Angeles and wanted a special place to attend Palm Sunday services. We found it at Holy Name Cathedral! We wish our church were as inspiring. From the touching and beautiful service, to the choir and beautiful architecture, to the most welcoming parishioners - this was a memorable experience. We will always treasure this heartfelt service.

If you are into religious buildings, this is a good one. Considered Chicago's premier catholic church, it will satisfy your needs for ornate, historical and whatever else you may get from visiting a cathedral. Certainly doesn't hold a candle to most European versions, but good indeed.
