This is a beer aficionado's must. Great selection, cool staff, and the vibe is chill. There are a few quirks, namely that it's cash only and does not serve food. It's an easy walk from the Blue Line, California stop, which makes it very convenient and safe (afterwards!).

We stopped here for one drink and stayed for a few hours chatting with the locals! The beer selection was one of the largest I've seen and there was certainly an option for everyone. The ambiance reminded me of an old-fashioned professor's office with dark wood, National Geographic magazines on one wall, and maps along the others. The bartender was... More

I was stating a block way, was told it was a nice spot. Went twice. The bar tender bought me a shot. Can't complain. No food but they will call places around that ill deliver to your stool, and a man came in both times i was there to sell tamales. My only complaint is the lack of good Canadian... More

No frills, no food, just an unbelievable and rotating beer menu that rivals any bar and any city.Every bartender is super friendly and a beer guru and has a full know;ledge base of styles, flavors and ingredients. This is not a bar, its an experience and journey through complex beers and basic ales. They have an engine and if your... More

I stopped by this place on the advice of my 21 year old nephew and I was really happy I did. They have a Beer Menu that's beyond anything I've ever seen before in Chicago and an updated daily featured beer specials of the day. In total they have about 200 different Beers with about 15 or 20 specials on... More

Great local bar that also has a nice morning cup of coffee to kick things off. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. The beer selection is usually pretty good and they will have some hard to come by brews available. Get there early on weekends because i does fill up.

This is a wonderful dive in bar if you are in Chicago. They have great beer collection of ales and IPA's. Plus the fun part is the Map part of the bar. The bar has lots of NATGeo books, travel books, and nature books to look into. Its always a fun experiences here. Outside all the bling and glimmer of... More

I dropped by for a foreign language event on a Sunday afternoon, so I can't really say anything about the service or the drinks, but I did really like the atmosphere. It was really chill (almost didn't feel like a bar, it might be because I was there during daylight house) and the decor was very nice. The table tops... More

I'm usually a beer snob, and this was one of the few places that had even more of a selection than I could ask for. It was recommended to me by a Chicago local on Localfu - I had no idea it existed but it was well worth the trip! Great place to kill a night with friends and tons... More
