(English "translation" - see below !) Super ! More

This was the first time we had visited Chicago, and when doing our research on what to do and see, my wife came across the the Chicago Meet & Greet site. We booked well before leaving home in Australia, and got confirmation of our booking and a introduction email from our assigned "greeter". We weren't disappointed, our guide was a... More

For our recent visit to Chicago, we took advantage of pre-booking a Chicago Greeter for our first day in the city. It turned out to be the best thing we did in the four days we were there! Sue Murphy was extremely knowledgable about the downtown core. She talked in detail about its history and its architecture as well as... More

I made the arrangement w Chicago greeters weeks before and received 2-3 email confirmation/ reminders about the tour. When I arrived 5minutes prior to the meeting time, I was told to wait for my assigned greeter. I gave the greeters name specifically. After 20-30 minutes, I checked at the counter again. This time, they found a note which said that... More

Once in awhile a Greeter becomes ill or in this case was injured and not able to meet their guests. We do our best to contact the guest, an email was sent at 9:30am to alert them about their 1pm Greeter visit. We try to have the guest(s) go along on another visit or use the InstaGreeter service on Friday,... More

Allen Schwartz was our greeter, and he gave us an architecture-oriented walk through the Loop, walking us into many of the well-known and a few of his own lovely buildings. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, and gave us a real feeling for why Chicago is special.

We had discovered the Chicago Greeter Program thanks to the raving reviews on Tripadvisor and thought we should take the risk ourselves. We filled out the on-line application form on the greeter homepage, and about two weeks later we were assigned our own personal "greeter": John Popik. We met him on the agreed spot, and spent some wonderful hours with... More

I intended to book for the full Greeter tour but was a bit late for that. Only 5 days in advance, instead of 10, so was referred to Instagreeter tour instead. The tour was excellent - John was knowledgeable and earnest. It was like a private tour because there were just four of us with him. And instead of 1... More
