We went to an 8:00 Saturday show with our 13 and 9 year olds. Both screamed that they did not want to go, but they laughed their heads off. It was a cozy fun family night that we will be sure to repeat. The improvisors were talented and not that different than what we have seen at Second City. However,... More

On a 3-day trip to Chicago with our teenager, we visited ComedySportz on a Sunday evening in search of a few laughs. We weren't disappointed! The format for the hour-long show was straightforward: the all-ages show pitted two comedy teams against each other along with input from the audience. We found the quality of the performances to be very good,... More

The folks at Comedy Sportz have their show down to a science. It is fun and a safe bet for someone looking for PG rated fun. There were a lot of tweens and teens in the audience the night that I saw the show, a Thursday. The actors seemed mindful of the demographic--good for the brand/business but not really tons... More

Monday night's show was a stand-up comedy night and the website warned that the language could be offensive. A number of previous reviews comment on the "clean language" and I thought you should be fore-warned that this is not the case on Monday nights. We did enjoy ourselves for the most part. Like any comedy show you will have some... More

My son and I attended an 8:00 performance and enjoyed the intimacy of the small venue so that the audience truly felt part of the show. The show is clean and family friendly and a great place to take preteen and teenage children without fear that the show will be very adult orientated. So parents you can relax and enjoy... More

Thanks for enjoying our show! Glad you and your younger guests had a good time. You managed to catch us on #CSzNewLook weekend, where we were trying on some new "uniforms" based on some online suggestions we received. To join in on the fun, please follow us on twitter at @ComedySportzChi! Thanks again! - Matt More

Funny, clean, all-ages show. A great night for our family of four - two adults, and two teens. It is so hard to find activities that our older teens will enjoy, and actually want to join us, but this fit the bill perfectly. It was amazing to watch the comics at work with their lightning fast improv, so quick and... More

We visited this theater w our teenage boys. We all laughed. I appreciate the effort to produce family friendly entertainment without sacrificing quality. Id definitely recommend this show for an experience that is fun and memorable without the trashy humor.

The theater is relatively small so the audience is really part of the show. The show is family-friendly, with penalties to team members and audiences if comedy or suggestions moves past the G rating. Drinks are available though we did not feel pressured to buy.

We came to this show not knowing exactly what to expect...expect us to be back! We went to the 6pm Saturday show. There was a big enough crowd to have fun, but the theater was not full (as was going to be the 8pm show...lined up out the door on our way out!). There were several kids in our audience... More

The evening we saw the Comedy Sportz show was genuinely funny - and they pulled off the tricky task of doing high quality improv without swearing or smut! It's not a show for kids (adults - don't be put off) but you can take the family without fear. It's a great concept that really works. At times they over-complicated things... More
