We have been to Rosa's a number of times over the years. Last night was no exception. I love this place. Regardless of who is playing, Tony always has invited great bands to his lounge. This time, we went along for a birthday party celebration and in fact there were two that evening. The band (Vance Kelly and the Backstreet... More

Had a great night listening to Jimmy Burns Band. Small club. Friendly staff. Excellent music. Not a touristy place but the real thing.

This place is great! Not fancy, not pretty. The word is authentic! Great atmosphere. It could be 50 years ago (except there's no cigarette smoke). Excellent real Chicago blues. Classic. Great crowd, all ages and races, who are there for the music. No real dance floor, but you're welcome to dance between the tables. It's on the west side in... More

I'm not a blues connoisseur, but i do like it. The bar is great, dark and feels authentic. It was a tuesday night and the bar was almost empty but we enjoyed the experience. Probably weekends are better (more gigs during one night), but we had great time anyway. It was a nice change after spending couple days going around... More

No damn words folks - GO THERE and let yourself drive into the world of Blues ... fantastic atmosphere, so great life music, sudden jam by legends on stage who were "just" guests ... a night you'll never forget ... I have never been really in Chicago before I had this one .... MUST GO!!!!

Stared at 9.30 not nine so don't rush if its a quiet night as it was when we visited, small and intimate with authentic local Blues music. We would have liked a bit more variety maybe a backup person with the main act. Or another person interspersed with the main act as it lacked variety for our taste. Another night... More

Rosa's is the real deal. Nothing touristy about it. Grab a cab from downtown, and make sure to check out Lurrie Bell if he's playing.Tony the owner is also a great guy, Cannot wait to get back to Rosa's in the near future.

It's small, pleasant and comfortable place. Friendly people, both the staffs as the visitors. The live music is great. For a blues fans, it's a place to be when you visit Chicago. The location is out of the centre but it's easily to find with your GPS

A bit out of the way but well worth the taxi ride. Warm, friendly and authentic. This is the real thing people, real blues artists playing real blues music in an authentic old blues bar. Highly recommended, take a group, have a ball.

Don't miss this place. An authentic Chicago experience. Find the Heart of the Blues right here. Make the extra effort to get out of the tourist areas and check it out!
