Went on the dinner buffet cruise. They had plenty of fresh food. The night views were amazing. I am posting the pictures of the Navy Pier ferris wheel at night. The parking for this cruise is tough. The event is pricey as well.

This cruise is basically a canned narrative of what you will see on the lake. It leaves from navy pier. We got some amazing pictures and given the time of year it was relatively quiet. If you are looking for a nice water cruise to observe the skyline this is for you. If you want to learn more about Chicago... More

We booked on line a Saturday 3 hour dinner cruise (7 pm - 10 pm). We paid extra for guaranteed window, 4 drink tickets and the romance package (table for 2, half dozen roses and bottle of champagne). Our total was $486.81. We were offered a complimentary glass of champagne when we were seated and a celebration parfait dessert to... More

I took my husband and our two toddlers on a dinner cruise for my husband's birthday. Everything ran smoothly. The staff was friendly, the food was good, and the entertainment was great. Everyone was very professional. We especially enjoyed going to the top deck to view the city as we sailed. During the fireworks show, they ship played music coordinated... More

Labor Day weekend was busy in Chicago, we decided to take my Aunt Lois for a Sunday Brunch aboard the Spirit of Chicago for her 60th B-Day. City was packed and the traffic was jammed. We were in 3 separate vehicles trying to get to the navy pier. I was the first to arrive at the pier and the remaining... More

We booked this dinner cruise in England and on arrival I must say this cruise is worth every penny. The crew are brilliant with a fantastic captain that will show you some dance moves later on in the trip! From the minute we boarded we were treated like royalty with first class service. Food was a buffet and it was... More

Our party of six booked this dinner cruise with a Groupon and the discounted price was a plus!. Remember ... you need to allow time to exchange your reservation confirmation for your boarding passes before you queue to board the ship. Spirit is docked at almost the end of the pier. You can save half the walk if you arrive... More

A beautiful night on Lake Michigan in August. Good food and drinks. Wonderful fireworks and evening. Lighr breeze from the shore so Chicago was crystal clear. Everyone on board were very nice and courteous. Would recommend to anyone who likws being on the water.

Paid almost $400 for a fireworks dinner cruise. Unfortunately it was raining which is not the boat operators fault but we were stuck inside the whole time. The music on our floor was horrible. Not one slow dance the whole night, not even regular dance music. All rap music and then a private party from Argentina which took over the... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
