Fun way to learn about Chicago

This is a fun excursion during the summer months. Lots of fun and interesting facts about Chicago as you cruise the Chicago River. I highly recommend it for visitors to Chicago.

Fantastic!! The Food was great, Salmon, Tilapia, were the highlights of the brunch buffet. Waitstaff, DJ were friendly and fun. Smooth sailing by Antonio. A relaxing way to see the city.

Although this was a lunch cruise I planned as my mom's pre-Mother's Day gift and an early wedding anniversary gift for my parents on Lake Michigan, I actually felt like I was on a cruise on the ocean. The food was served promptly, hot, and was very delicious. The waiters were very professional, prompt, and friendly. Special shoutout to our... More

This was so much fun! I went with my mom on this brunch tour, which coincided with the Chicago Flower Show. We drank mimosas, saw a flower demonstration, and the DJ was very personable (I believe his name was Pete). He was able to get people dancing in the middle of the day, which is impressive! The food was good... More

The Sprit of Chicago is a great way to see Chicago beautiful skyliner by boat. You could have lunch or dinner with and DJ providing music and some dancing if you'll like it. A tour guide will also provide you with information regarding the skyliner.

My fiancée decided to surprise me for Valentine’s day, he took me to Navy Pier for the Spirit of Chicago. I did not know what to expect until we arrived. I was very disappointed with the set up and the food. First of all, it was about 8 degrees outside, my fiancé had to stand outside in the frigid cold... More

Excellent day! I like the fact that the "party" began at Noon instead of Midnight. Our party was of six adults--all family members. I can understand Sue G's frustration. I know exactly the area in which she was seated--agree, poor accommodations and breezy. However, we were seated at a table for six, and we had an excellent view of the... More

2014 New Year lunch cruise, not worth it for many reasons. 1. We got the worst seating by the door on the front of the ship behind the dance floor, secluded and blocked only time you can see people when they want food. 2. DJ couldnt bring the party alive, focused on celebrations like birthdays and Anniversay..New Years eve vibe... More

Every year for 6 years now out family has gone on the Santa lunch cruise on the Spirit at Navy Pier. Each year the food and service has declined. This year's menu for 2014 did not contain a chicken or steak option-just fish with a couscous salad. No kid friendly menu. Mean Santa. Poor service. Such a shame since the... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
