Hello hello! I'm Margaret, tour guide, author and comedian. My tours are full of humor and fun and are definitely off the beaten path. I'm a life-long Chicagoan and have been a tour guide for seven years. I love my job and my city and I'm all about showing it off to you. I'm an improviser and comedian from Second City, so expect some really hilarious (to me anyway?) impressions. We have a lot of fun on tours, you know, while we're learning. During the winter months I run the Pedway Tour (it's all indoors! We never go outside!) and in the summer I run The Disaster! Tour (best new tour!), the Loop Tour (highlights!) and the new Binoculars Tour! I am also available for private tours and group tours! Let's do this.

My girlfriends and I wanted to do something different so we took the binocular tour with Margaret. She was so excited to show us the building and teach us what she knows. She was funny, entertaining and so knowledgeable about the architecture. I highly recommend this tour!

Margaret led us on a great walking tour of the pedway. She had lots of interesting stories and facts to tell us about it. Highly recommend!

A great little tour of the Chicago pedway system - facts, history and humour all rolled into one. Perhaps a good trip when its cold or rainy outside.

We took 12 Girl Scouts to Chicago from Minneapolis for a weekend! These 7th grade girls were mesmerized by Margaret's tour. They heard about architecture, the history of Chicago including the Worlds Fair, learned about Chicago's food, the people of Chicago past and present and got a feel for the great City of Chicago. They got to see inside beautiful... More

Margaret is the best!! Great tour guide, knowledgeable, and passionate about what she does. I'm from out of town and I went with a Chicago local. We both learned a ton! The Pedway Tour is an interesting/creative way to see Chicago. It's much more dynamic than we expected. Each hallway of the Pedway is diverse with something new to learn.... More

We chose this tour because it was one of the only tours that sounded appropriate for kids. Our kids ages 10 and 16 gave it a thumbs up. It's not easy to please a 16 year old! We thought it was just the right length for them. We learned lots of interesting facts about Chicago, saw some great architecture, and... More

My mom was coming to town and we were looking for something fun and interesting to do. I have lived in Chicago for 5 years, so we've done most of the basic tours and seen many of the "main attractions." The pedway tour sounded interesting, so we figured why not! Margaret was great-- she is very enthusiastic about the city... More

We have been to Chicago many times and felt ourselves to be kinda "experts" on what and where" but Margaret showed us things about the "under belly" of Chicago we did not know. Margaret made this tour fun and fasinating while keeping it casual and quirky :D We really enjoyed it and left feeling that we had connected with Chicago... More

My friends and I went to Chicago a while back. Margaret gave an amazing pedway tour. We scheduled it early on our trip so if us Californians ever got caught out in the cold, we could take the pedway. Margaret was awesome with advice on what was worth going to, which attractions we could scratch out because of long lines,... More

On our trips our family always enjoys experiencing some quirkier kinds of things, and this tour certainly provided that. Exploring these hidden underground routes that even many of the locals don't know about was so much fun. This was particularly due to Margaret's cool sense of humour and her passion and knowledge about the history of both the Pedway and... More
