Walked in on a nice morning and afternoon. Stopped in the Macy's and shops there. Ate around the corner at Eataly. Good walk.

A must see place in Chicago. It is a perfect place for shopping as many top shops are there on this street. The river walk and millennium park located on Michigan avenue are a must see as well. There are mNy party places located off Michigan avenue as well, mainly on Ontario street.

An entire plethora of places to shop, from high end to the average dollar. Great scene and all around good place to go. If you think its located on the Magnificent Mile, it probably is.

During our 4 day stay in Chicago we ended up strolling up and down Michigan Avenue for two of them. There are so many beautiful stores to visit and window shop, plenty of entertainment and the architecture is mind blowing gorgeous. I love this city!

With so many branded stores along with tall skyscrapers and wonderful architecture, the Michigan Avenue is any shopaholic's dream-destination. There are many restaurants also for tired shoppers to regain their energy for another round!

Everything you could ever want in shopping! Stores and stores and stores. It is called the Magnificent mile for a reason. Maybe it's just us, but the Hershey store was a HUGE family hit. I kept having to remind ourselves that most stores have an "up". I'm not used to so much vertical space. High end shopping down to basic... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
