Best selection of mainly high-priced items. Fun to just walk around and see the many visitors just strolling around. Also pleasant, colorful flower enclosures.. Good, solid food in the Nordstrom food court. Panda Express there offers exceptionally good Chinese food at reasonable prices. Also lots of other choices. A must: Garrett Popcorn Shop at 625 N. Michigan. The best anywhere,... More

What can't you find on this street? Clothing, jewelry, food, you name it. People watching is always interesting--watch for celebs cuz you never know who is walking beside you. Always like the Tree Lighting in November. The energy is always up.

Our hotel was located not far from this street, and we walked up it many times. The city has inveigled various shop owners to contribute flowers and the flower arrangements are spectacular. There is also an amazing amount of architecture to see, starting with the city itself,

It has everything you could want. If your addicted to spending. All the big box retailers. Lots of traffic on the side walks and streets. Enjoyed some street performances, especially a jazz player on saxaphone.

There is no better place to shop and perhaps to eat in Chicago than Michigan Ave. You can take hours stroll the shop here. The flagship Forever 21 is a must visit for young shopper. Visit side street for good restaurant and Chicago style thick crust pizza. The only downside is parking is hard to find and expensive. You will... More

If spending time in downtown Chicago, please stay aware and vigilant of your surroundings. While walking to our restaurant for dinner last Friday evening, my wife was grabbed by a young African American male who was with two other older AA males. The assault occurred as we were crossing the street. Neither of us saw the attack coming. I was... More

Must see the decorating of windows in the winter. Hundreds of different people shopping. Stores and restaurants worth stopping in and to see.

One dramatic way to enjoy Michigan Avenue is to start at the north end - Lake Michigan across the street from the Drake Hotel, and walk south toward the river, or start at the Chicago River and walk north. You'll see extremely diverse buildings (ie Trump Tower and Wrigley Building toward by the river, and a vast array of buildings... More

If you like to shop, you will love it. Even if you do not, nothing like a twilight stroll down Michigan Avenue. It is a must do in Chicago.

I think 5th Avenure and most big city malls are 100% better with more vendors.. but, it's not bad as long at the weather is good..
