The Strip of Chicago!

Awesome place to hang out with lots of shopping and eating options. Most High Street brands have set shop here including Neiman Marcus.

Michigan Ave has so many beautiful historic buildings. Unless you have the big bucks, the shopping isn't that great, but it's still fun to go and wander.

It has always been a pleasure spending time on the Magnificent mile. The only problem is the traffic, that's if you drive. Other than that, taxies or buses are easy to get and not that expensive.

Upscale shopping, nice walk in good weather. Numerous opportunities to stop to eat a meal, or just get a snack or drink. Also several other attractions a few blocks off of, like Navy Pier.

Architecture of each building was amazing! So many places to shop and so many cool landmarks to see. There are bike rentals, ample public transportation and the drivers actually have to yield to hundreds of walking pedestrians!

This is where it's at. Shoppers Haven for men, women and children. You will most likely find what you are looking for. If not, a trip to NY City might be in order.

This street is always full of shoppers. Nice selection of stores to shop at, with two malls as well. We shopped at Crate and Barrel. Gdirardelli Chocolates, and The Disney Store. There is also a candy store - I think it's called Dylan's that is so fun just to visit for its colorful displays.

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
