If you like shopping, this is for you. However, it is for the most part all chain stores, very little unique about it, therefore not my thing. I guess the real estate is too pricey for fun boutiques.

It's everything that you've been told - a tourist attraction in itself! I would recommend targeting the stores/locations that you want to go to and head for them. You will undoubtedly stumble over other things to grab your attention.

Michigan Avenue is great, compare to NYC it is not overrun by people, you can still stroll around the street without bumping into people at all times. Lots of restaurants, shops and clean walk ways, keep it up Chicago

I walked Michigan Avenue shopping for keychains. I thought that they were expensive, however when I visited Navy pier, I found that prices are similar but you can find more variety in Navy Pier and some cheaper options with a cheap look too. Art is everywhere. From a cow sculpture to colored pixeled looking ornaments in front of buildings. The... More

Great shopping options for all budgets from Saks and Nordstrom to Forever 21. Kids will love the Lego store and the American Girl store which are located in the same mall. Wear comfortable shoes, stay hydrated and SHOP!

Great shopping and not too crowded, making a stroll and a spot of window shopping an enjoyable experience.

I was at The Drake, and Michigan Ave was across the street. A great mall with a Bloomingdales as an anchor and many other designer stores. There are gobs of great stores and restaurants/pubs to choose from.

Wonderful place to walk and shop except for all the pan handlers. I did enjoy the street musicians though.
