We have visited Chicago several times in the last several months and stopped by the mall both times. It's a unique mall with 7 stories and when at the top level, you can peer over the railing and see the bottom floor! Pretty cool! For kids, they have the Lego Store and an American Girl Doll store that takes up... More

Today was a very cold and at time, a wet day, so spending time visiting the various shops in the Water Tower turned out to be a joy., helped by trying the various pepper sauces at Pepper Palace, a great way to buy a very hot sauce.

Located right on Magnificent Mile, this shopping center has a variety of stores. Stores include a Garrett's popcorn shop and store for Chicago sports clothes and memorabilia. There are 7 floors. A food court is also here. Place is very up to date and clean.

We entered here from the magnificent mile entrance and up the water fountain escalators which are quiet impressive for a shopping centre. We then took the express lift up to the 7th floor. My husband liked the Cubs shop and was annoyed to see his shirt was $7 cheaper than at the game the night before. We wanted to look... More

YOU are a husband, be warned: you'll spend a lot of time here, especially if your wife/girlfriend is wearing comfy shoes. And if she isn't she'll probably buy some! lots of shops, from major chains to butique-like shops. even floors of shops! But some refreshments too ;)

The food court on lower lever in Water Tower Place, they serve a good variety of good warm and cold food but we thought it was a bit too expensive for the basement-like location. Too few seats too.

Loved the mall. So much to see and do. The Lego Store and American Girl stores were favorites. Beautiful interior. So many floors and stores. Plan to spend more time than you originally thought. Well worth visiting.

A very famous, busy, centrally located Landmark Mall on the Magnificent Mile in Chicago. It has a huge Macys, and many other branded shops. A wide variety of foods are available in the food court. I used to visit ,among others, 2 stores ,in particular-"The Sharper Image" &"Brookstone" but those are no longer there.

We live a few blocks form the Water Tower Place. There are numerous shops and best of all is that everything is indoors - so you can stay warm during the cold Chicago winters. The mall is set up over many floors with Macy's being the main store. We enjoy taking the escalator up to see all of the stores... More

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
