Nice trip on the water. Tour guide was well studied on history and architectural informational sites. Took some great shots. Also they have a bar open form sodas to mixed drinks.

This is a convinient and affordable way to see the beutiful river side building and architecture of this pretty city. They have river cruises but this is a lot more affordable and you get to see most of the good looking bulding that are on the river.

We decided to load up the family and play tourist. We grabbed the Water Taxi at the Michigan Avenue Bridge with our intentions to go to Chinatown for food. My first complaint was that there was no kiosk to buy tickets outside the water taxi launch at Michigan Avenue. We had to go all the way back up, around the... More

Grab the water taxi to head to Navy Pier, as we were the only ones on board, the host gave us a great commentary, pointing out all of Chicago's amazing history and beautiful architecture. Stories of Al Capone, prohibition, and every day Chicago life. Looking up at the buildings from the water gives a whole new perspective and to see... More

Highly recommended! Take the time to take a water taxi - especially if you have nowhere specific to go! For just $8 for one ride (all-day passes are available), it's a great way to sail down the Chicago River and admire the beautiful architecture of the city. From Navy Pier you can take a taxi out into the harbour to... More

You really have to ride this. There is nothing like getting to know a city by the water than by going into the water. We found stairs to get to the launch but I was worried about buying tickets so I sent my husband ahead. Not a problem. We had a staff member help us purchase our tickets to Michigan... More

First time in Chicago. Had been walking, taking the train. Decided to go to Chinatown per the yellow water taxi. It was really nice, peaceful. A nice walk to the main drag of Chinatown, which is very quiet compared to SF/LA/NY Chinatowns. Great price and a nice way to travel. It was August and the weather throughout our week stay... More

The water taxi was a fun way to view the Chicago skyline and Navy Pier. We parked our car at the Navy Pier walked to the Bean meandered thru the parks and saw Buckingham fountain ate a hot dog and walked around the museum campus and to the beach. A great walk with a final return via ferry which was... More

Cruising down the Chicago River from Michigan Avenue to Chinatown on the Water Taxi is awesome! You pass by all the beautiful architectural wonders of Chicago and end up in beautiful Ping Tom Memorial Park just outside of Chinatown. You beat the traffic while enjoying the scenery. A must-do if you are in Chicago!
