Super easy trip from Olgilvie Train Station

Went downtown with some friends and instead of walking decided to hop on the Water Taxi. It was a beautiful day and really nice short trip down the river to Michigan Ave

Decided on our last rip to Chicago we needed to ride on the water taxi. It was a great way to get to where we wanted without walking a long ways!

The water taxi from the Field Museum goes to the Navy Pier uptown, which is part way back to our hotel so we decided to do that rather than take a taxi (incidentally, I highly recommend using Uber for taxis in Chicago). The water taxis were every 30 minutes and we had about a 20 minute wait; we were there... More

The Chicago Water Taxi operates on a closed loop route on the Chicago River, from March to December, shuttling passengers between Chinatown and Madison Street on the south branch; La Salle Street and Michigan Avenue on the main branch, and North Avenue on the North Branch. During the summer, departures and arrivals are scheduled on Monday through Friday from 6:45... More

It's hard to get too excited about a form of travel, but the water taxi is a practical, efficient and fun option. We used it on our trip to go from the Field Museum back to Navy Pier instead of making the long walk along Lake Shore Trail in the heat of the day. One tip is that you can... More

We were staying on the Magnificent Mile and were headed to Willis Tower. We decided to take the river route. The fare for the water taxi is well worth it. You see the city from a perspective that is really unique. We'd do it again.

Love taking this taxi when the weather is warm enough. It's so relaxing and a great way to enjoy a view of the city. Taxi's are frequent too so not much hanging around means less complaining from little ones!

The Chicago Water Taxi is located on the Chicago river and Lake Michigan. We took it from Ogilvie Station to China Town and back. It also goes to navy pier and several stops along the way. It was a blast to experience and quite efficient! Spring for the all day transfer for $8! Well worth it...

Shops for everyone in the family. A basement with large and varied eating choices. Those waiting can get a time-whiler at Starbucks just after the two escalators taking you up from the central foyer.
