jazz good, food good, but expensive on drinks

Enjoyed a reasonable band, had good food, but the drinks were expensive.. probably should have expected it! Good location but you pay for it!

In addition to the regular line up several local up and coming artists were called to the stage to perform. The food is adequate, but an admission charge should be waived for those eating dinner. Overall a good experience.

Andys at 5 has been a great jazz attraction for many years. We have enjoy the jazz and the friendly staff. Andys has local jazz players and shows why Chicago is a good jazz city. Highly recommended!

Nice place for those jazz fans. Place is small, so reserve before. Food is ok, don't expect have a super nice dinner, but the appetizers are very good, beers are also good. The best is the atmosphere and the music

We spent a couple hours at Andy's on a Monday night. I'm surprised they charged a $10 cover for jamming especially since we had dinner. They should pass around a hat on jamming night instead of imposing a cover charge. The wait staff was not very friendly and made a fuss about splitting our bill in three as we were... More

What a treat to pop into this quaint and long running Jazz joint on a Friday night!! The service is great and the musicians were amazing. The food is standard fare with a classic dinner and bar menu available. If you are looking for a great Jazz experience while you are visiting Chicago I highly recommend this limited seating club.... Great jazz - indifferent service. I liked that they offered food, but found it difficult to get service for either food or drink at our table. What we had was good, but felt we had to work too hard to get service. Jazz was great tho and for that reason would return.

We enjoyed a great sample of Chicago Jazz while eating blackened catfish and cajun shrimp risotto, and washing them down with a few beers. It was a very nice evening for us after walking a lot in Chicago seeing the sites. We enjoyed a relaxing two hours at Andy's to complete our evening.

I had 2 friends from out of town and one had mentioned that she'd like to see some Jazz since that (and the Blues) is what Chicago is known for. I don't know that much about Jazz (or Jazz Clubs), but I had been to Andy's probably a decade ago or so and I remembered having a good time, so... More
