Can't be missed-worth the trip from the burbs! Easy to park over by Grant Park. Amazing special effects!!!! I wouldn't recommend for little ones, as the one ghost/spirit is rather dark/ominous. Not too long, just right-I would say 6yo and up appropriate!

The new Goodman has taken care of the twin curses of theater in the 21st century, cramped quarters and no time for (particularly ladies') bathroom breaks at intermission. There is more legroom than I have ever experienced in Chicago or New York, you can even shimmy down the row to your seat without landing in someone's lap or stepping on... More

We took in a evening performance of Brigadoon. The theater is conveniently located on Dearborn St. in the theater district. There is no parking associated with the Goodman, however you can use the recommended lot adjacent on Lake street at a discounted rate. Avoid the lot directly across the street or you'll pay double. I may also suggest that if... More

It is usually great and always at least good. I go to both the Albert and Owen stages. The Albert sets are always awesome and often feature famous Broadway. movie and TV stars. The Owen is more "indie." That one is open seating, but don't worry--there are really very few bad seats, at least on the main floor.

We saw last night at the Goodman theatre's Owen Lookingglass Theatre Company’s Cascabel with Rick Bayless. This was a unique blend of dinning and theatre with very impressive acrobatics. The food combos were delicious. We felt like we were transported somewhere in Mexico, a top dollar event that was enjoyable.

We had never been to the Goodman before, but we attend a lot of theater in New York and in Minneapolis and this theater was by far one of the most comfortable theater we have been in. in fact, my husband said "this is the first time I have ever been able to cross my legs in a theater". There... More

This theatre is not so large you can't see or hear regardless of where you sit. If there is a show you want to see playing here --- GO!!!
