Good walk and great hotdogs. The pier had many restaurants and bars. Lots of stores. Seems to be a place for family, couples and kids.

While in Chicago we thought we have to visit navy pier as it is a must do when there . They are doing a facelift on the pier but I think they are wasting there time , what a disappointment . Hardly any shops or resturaunts and what was there was rather tired . We did eat at Riva and... More

We were in Chicago on a bachelorette trip(July 2013). We didn't have to deal with any parking, we walked from our hotel (Embassy Suites). The Navy Pier was beautiful and we enjoyed the small park near it as well. A couple of girls in our party enjoyed a speed boat ride while we walked around and took in the views.... More

We rode the Ferris wheel at night, wow, what a terrific view! The Ferris wheel is a slight walk away from the crowds inside Union Station, signage to find our way and information about tickets sales and prices were not clearly visible until we reached the destination. But the seven minute trip around provided us with a terrific view of... More

I went here on my family reunion and it was wonderful. I experience going to a lot of stores just mainly browsing, some shopping, eating, riding on the rides, and they also had a section for kids museum plus you can take the boat ride for maybe something like 99 dollars or so but I'm sure you can catch a... Nice eating our lunch in the "greenhouse"? with the plants etc- nice and sunny. Then the Ferris Wheel was great and gave us a good view of Chicago. Although I don't like heights and it was quite windy so I was a little freaked out at the top, especially when the ride seemed to pause for a few seconds! The... More

We went to Navy Pier for the Winter Festival. The Christmas Tree Exhibit was amazing. There were Santa's from around the world with a description of how Christmas is celebrated in different countries. There were lots of rides and activities for children but not much for adults which was a little disappointing. However, it is a great way to spend... More

Navy Pier is one of Chicago's best attractions, and you can enjoy it year round. In summer you have the outdoor playground, carousel and Ferris wheel. Plus all the beer garden and outdoor restaurants and bars. The Shakespeare theater is pretty unique. Also in winter, there is the winter wonderland which has free admission, but paid activities. There is year... More

Not everything was open as it was a Monday evening in December but the winter festival event was going on. We loved the cool room with the plants and water features. A couple ladies at the help desk at the entrance gave the best restaurant recommendation (Rock Bottom)! They were very helpful and nice.
