From baseball to soccer, from football to sledding down the hills, there is a little bit of everything at Gompers Park. There is a really nice, fenced play area for smaller kids which includes slides and a number of other things. On the north side of Foster Ave., there is a fieldhouse and an outdoor swimming pool. While this is not in a touristy area, it is worth checking out if in the area. The highlights of this lovely little park are its spring fed lagoon and lovingly restored wetlands. Not only do they photograph well, but they are home to a wonderful variety of wildlife for such an urban location, including blue herons, muskrats, foxes, turtles,... More
