This kind of thing.... it is a trill, the tilt was a really crazy experience, I liked it and my wife did'n't. Here is why she did't like it , you stand up against the glass and hold on to two handles and they tilt the glass compartment.... about a 90 degree angle, so your looking almost straight down.Over 100... Great views of the city and the lake. When we went in the middle of the afternoon in September it was quieter and less people then the sky deck at Willis Tower. It also has a small café and tables and chairs so you can sit down and enjoy a drink or sandwich and snack while enjoying the view.

The observatory has great views from the city, but, differently from the Willis Tower, in which the access to that glass cube is free (after you pay the entrance to the observatory), you have to pay more 7-8 dollars to access the Tilt - those windows from which you can bend 30 degrees outside the building. Great pictures, but sort... More

My husband and I visited the observatory on a Wednesday afternoon in early September. There were no crowds at all and we did not have to queue for anything. Although the weather was extremely cold, the day was bright and the views are tremendous. We both went on the 'Tilt', although I had not decided if I would definately do... More

Clear day so the view of the city was exceptional! The tilt was interesting but not a big fan! $18 to go to observation area $7 for the Tilt.

Even after visiting SkyDeck, 360 Chicago can offer incredible views itself. It is wise to schedule your visit around the golden hour to take advantage of the opportunities for some memorable photos. You can either see the view from the magnificent mile and beyond, the Willis Tower and Lake Michigan. Tried the Tilt! experience, which is cheap and offers you... More

Top notch views of the city. Have interactive screens to show you the history of some of the buildings you are seeing. The Tilt attraction does cost extra and is not included in the Go Chicago Pass. Didn't seem worth it to us but saw lots of people go and do it. Early morning would be fantastic. They are also... More

My wife and I did Chicago360 as well as the SkyDeck. Both offer great views of the city. This is another attraction on the CityPass, meaning you can bypass the standard queues if it's busy. We purchased tickets for "Tilt" when we got there, which is a glass compartment you stand in and then it tilts out over the edge... More

Perfect place to view the city. Pay attention to weather though. There may be not much to see on a foggy day.

Having easy access to the current tallest tower in the world ( Burj Khalifa , Dubai, UAE) where I live initially made me think twice about visiting this tower since I was aware that Sears tower was more known. Was very happy though to see this observation deck as it offers a very clean view of the Chicago Magnificent Mile... More
