played last week Tuesday, the best fairways and greens we have played all season, a real gem. Came to Chicago from Michigan to visit our son and stopped on the way in. A must play if you are visiting Chicago.

I've been here several times now and enjoy returning. I'm always greeted with a warm welcome. The wait staff is attentive. The managers are great also, especially Laura. If you're planning an event this place has great food and a wonderful view. Numerous celebrities have golfed here including Chicago Blackhawks & White Sox players. If you have not been here... More

I recently celebrated the completion of a doctorate degree and had a brunch with friends and family to celebrate this milestone. We selected the Harborside because of the varied menu, location and beautiful scenic views. It was the perfect choice for us. We met the chef the week before who was oh, so courteous. The rest of the staff made... More

Can't say enough about it. This place has their act together. No big crowd or waiting at each tee box, which is refreshing for a summer Sunday morning. Definitely not a bargain but you do get what you pay for. Can't wait to go back.

Was in Chi for the day while my wife was in a meeting so I wanted to play golf. The pro at my club told me to try Harborside. Great idea! Short drive from downtown (unless you go during rush hour). Build on top of an old landfill so they could route it as desired. 36 holes of wonderful golf.... More

We arrived in Chicago and wanted to see if we could find a good golf course closer than having to drive for an hour. I did a search and found Harborside. We arrived and was impressed with what we found, the staff was friendly and the facilities look good. We played the course that was in great condishion. My Wife... More

We played the Starboard course and were impressed with the experience. Great golf hole after great golf hole. No hole was the same. Tons of sand but fairly placed. Plenty of fescue but again fairly placed. If you hit your ball where you aim you can score. The greens were true but had subtle breaks which made holing a putt... More

I went to this restaurant with a friend who had eaten there before. She recommended the cobb salad. Now I love cobb salads and have had many over the course of my life. I ordered it with the dressing on the side. The young waitress brought me the salad with the dressing mixed in. She did offer to have a... More

Harborside features two golf courses constructed over an old landfill. It sits near Lake Michigan and features the interesting juxtaposition of a Scottish-like links landscape and giant industrial plants lining the horizon. For a big city golf course, it was both very reasonable and not crowded. There are a huge number of bunkers and water comes into play quite a... More

This municipal course has two inland link courses. Both are great fun to play. The courses were excellently presented and well manicured. THe greens were fast and true. Lots of sand and the holes can get a bit samey after a while. At the time we played the course was over watered and very boggey....when we questioned the pro all... More
