I went to Adler Planetarium yesterday, thinking it would not cost much at all to enter. I was wrong. The exhibits were just ok, and could have been better. The group I was in just simply turned around and walked back to the Field Museum and wrapped up any exploration we had left to do. Overall, I do not recommend... more

The Adler website clearly says that the $25 "Universe Package" includes general admission and unlimited shows, plus a Guided Tour or Historic Atwood Sphere Experience. Yet when you get to the ticket desk, the sign just as clearly states that the Universe Package includes "two shows" and nothing about the tour or the Atwood Sphere. When you buy your ticket,... more

Wow, what an awesome location right on Lake Michigan and in the center of the museum area. If you check out the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum be sure to stop by. The planetarium was very interesting with quick movies and interactive exhibits entertaining school-age children and adults. A fun learning experience for all. more

You would figure that this being located near museum greats like the Field Museum and the Shedd Aquarium that this would be a good experience, but sadly I must give an honest review of this planetarium. We used Go Chicago cards throughout our stay which I highly recommend. Upon entering the planetarium, you go through the admission progress, in which... more

We didn't get anything out of this place. It was boring. Unless you like this sort of thing you wont miss anything. We only went because it was on our summer value pass deal. If it wasnt for that we would not have went here at all. This was the most boring thing we did while in Chicago. more

We bought the Chicago City Pass, at most attractions you get to go in ahead of the people who are waiting in line to BUY a ticket. Not at the Adler Planetarium. We had to wait in line with everyone else even though we already had a ticket with the City Pass. The first show we saw was not very... more

Good displays and shows, worth a 2-3 hr visit. One small theatre had too much natural light to see picture, butother shows good. Probably not enough for younger kids, but othrewise worth a stop, more

Overpriced at nearly $20 for a show and a stroll around the antiquated displays. It's a really neat place and what is more fascinating then the stars? But this place needs a serious update to ask those prices. One of the 20 dollar shows features a Ziess star gazing machine that superimposes the night sky on the domed ceiling. This... more

I wasn't too impressed with the Adler Planetarium. There were a handful of interesting exhibits, but nothing that kept me wanting to turn every corner and look at every nook and cranny. The real Gemini space capsule is one that really stands out in my mind that I enjoyed. It may have helped if I wasn't rushed to go through.... more
