Went with my friend to Buddy Guy's Legends to catch some Chicago Blues. Nora Jean Wallace was the headliner, she gave a great show. I watched her YouTube video online was not impressed prior to the visit, but her show was wonderful in person, I think the video did not do her justice and I told her so when she... More

We arrived here around 4:30 as we were going to a hockey game, it was almost empty and still on lunch not quite dinner. The atmosphere was not fancy but there was a lot of memorabilia. We were hoping for BBQ ribs but we're told we couldn't order them until 5pm so we opted for appetizers. We ordered fried oysters... More

Stopped in for lunch on my trip to Chi-town and was impressed just by the atmosphere at 2pm, thought the place was empty just the memorabilia and photos ont he way were enough to draw me in and say I am coming back here tonight! For lunch I had my first PoBoy a catfish fully dressed, and it was fantastic!... More

It was like a school play of The Commitments, same songs too. Buddy sat at the end of the bar while everyone around us fawned over him and whooped at yet another boring rendition of Mustang Sally and kept telling me Buddy taught Eric Clapton how to play guitar. I dont care. Its not enough. Its not like we werent... More

Amazing place. I didn't realise how important it was; I didn't even know who Buddy Guy was, but I am very pleased I got to visit on one of only two nights in Chicago. A must-see. The show was amazing, I just wish I knew who I'd seen! Good drinks too, and a nice atmosphere. The opposite of Blue Note... More

If you have the opportunity to see Buddy at his own bar do not miss out! An amazing performer and guitarist, you will not be disappointed. This place fills up quickly so go early for your best chance to find a great spot.

The music, up to and, of course, including Buddy's performance, was top notch. Be aware that if you wish to sit, you must arrive no later than 11:15am to secure a seat at one of the 20-some tables or by 2pm barside. If you opt to arrive early, bring board games/cards/iPads & be ready to also chat with your fellow... More

A completely different experience than you get at one of the two best old authentic blues bars in Chicago (Rosa's Lounge and B.L.U.E.S. on Halstead) but great fun none-the-less. Massive modern venue with table dining seating but fast friendly service and the food and music are always good. Extra bonus if Buddy Guy is in the house! ( which luckily... More
