We went here for the music. We didn't try any food so I can't help you there. However the food that I saw looked/smelled pretty good. The drinks on the other hand as fab and quite reasonable. Our first night there we saw Mary Lane and her band and the next night we saw Mike Dangeroux and Precious. While both... More

What a way to enjoy blues! Although I am not a die hard fan, I definitely enjoyed a couple hours of live music. Skip the food and drink and listen.

oh boy, if you love the blues just go!!!! free before bigger acts come on (about 8pm) then $20. Fantastic music. Good cocktails and food too. Blown away and you can pay$3 later to view online if you wish. Brilliant night, oh how I wish I could have that in England.

The first act on was Guy King was excellent. His guitar playing was perfect - timing, tone and taste. His voice was soulful. The evening then went south very very fast. The service was terrible. Our waitress paid no attention. The food was worse. I think I ordered some kind of crab dish. It wasn't clear. It was deep fired, tasteless... More

We've gone to Buddy Guy's on most trips to Chicago. This time it was different. ALMOST everything was better. Better food. Better service. Cleaner. Well done. Howard and the White Boys were great. One complaint... The "Acoustic Set" on June 27 was an older man on guitar and vocals and another man on bass. They seemed musically OK. As the... More

I was there last weekend and the bartenders Magda and Ivan did a great job waiting on me. They were making sure I was having a great time . Few weeks back I was having a drink and the Lady Boss (I will call her Lady Loud because you feel it when she is there (either watching a game or... More

I visited with my sisters and Mom for a big milestone birthday. We arrived just past 10:30 on a Friday evening. The draft was in town so it wasn't too busy. We were able to get a table. The server took our drink order. The prices weren't bad at all. The music was great. Plenty of room for dancing. The... More

The food is good, the prices are reasonable, the service is good, but to be honest it's all about the music and the atmosphere!! Don't leave Chicago without visiting Legends!!

This club is is open all day and is so popular that it is nearly always packed by 9 pm but is is well worth a visit or three. The food is typical southern (catfish po-boys etc.) and reasonably priced. The beer is also good value for money. If you are lucky enough to be in town on a Monday... More

Came here for a 10:30 show by Booker T, we walked up and, wait a minute, it switched buildings! I had been to the old place 4 times and didn't know they moved. The pros, better size, feels about twice as big. Access to bars and restrooms improved. The downside; less character, feels more commercialized. Overall an improvement (the bar... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
