If you like blues or even if you are a music fan in general, this is place you need to visit. The place is very big inside, they have live music regularly and it can get very packed, check the schedule and if there is a major act, get advanced tickets. It's a bar, however huge, not a hall, so... More

Having just visited the home of a Chess Records, you really want to follow it with a visit to this place. Buddy wasn't around, but with Ray. Charles playing on the stereo, a bowl of fine steamin' gumbo and a pint of Buddy beer, it was no big deal . The burger was good, but we agreed we'd had better.... More

If you like the blues you'll love Buddy Guys. Back to back bands, food and drink served all night. $25 cover charge well worth the cost for the entertainment.

We were in Chicago for the Petty concert the following night so we stopped in at Buddy Guys for a drink and some blues. We had an awesome time. Great singers and cold beers. It does not get better than that. The $20 cover was a little bit much, but hey we had a great time. I highly recommend.

If you have a limited time in Chicago, this is a good place to try out. probably not the best in town as many have said, but you get a feel for what club blues is all about. Buudy wasnt there the night we were, but the band that was playing had the place rocking. Lots of people on their... More

It's been years since we visited Buddy Guy's Legends. The location has moved about 4 blocks closer to downtown, and we were impressed with the décor of the new place, along with the quality of the neighborhood. The food and drink are reasonably priced, and live music starts at 6 PM on weekday nights. The featured performer(s) start(s) at 8... More

I went to Chicago for 3 nights ridin' solo. One of the nights I went to this place and just loved it. From the music, to the people. Just sit at the bar and ask for a good cold Guinness and enjoy the music.

My father and I visited this bar on our trip to Chicago from Canada. My father has, through unfortunate circumstances, lost a leg, and thus is an amputee. We arrived at 10 pm, and told the staff at the front (bouncing and other) that he was an amputee. A gentleman at the front obstinately asked “What does amputee mean?” Were... More

I had been to this Club a few years ago and found it excellent! Unfortunately the place is not so good anymore. The shows were just ok, if so... Was that blues?...not sure... Buddy Guy was there, but did not play. In addition, appeared to be in a very bad humour, Looking for real blues shows in a lively place?... More
