Do not visit this establishment as a restaurant. I would only recommend if you enjoy blues. Although the music was fantastic the meal was one of the worst I have experienced in my life.

This was the third time I've been to Legends, but the first time since they moved a few years ago. Always a great place to stop in and have a great meal and just eat up the live music!!! We had 6 and we got there early before the Saturday night rush and got a table right up front. If... More

Went with a group of 10 of us for the "post 9pm $10 cover charge" slot. The band were 100% worth the cover and throughly enjoyable. Even if the lead singers mouth organ kept failing on him and we missed an important element of these blues numbers! I had the own-brewed Buddy Guys beer which was nice...but gave me a... More

Good food, good ideas, and reasonably priced. I went to Buddy's with two of my grad students in the late afternoon to debrief about a conference that we were all attending in Chicago. I personally like these types of places and am a bit of a music fan so we thought it sounded like a good idea. Not disappointed at... More

While visiting Chicago for a work conference, a coworker and I had dinner at Buddy Guy's. The food was great! I had the Bourbon Shrimp and my coworker had the jambalaya. We both enjoyed our food. The music was also good. If you enjoy the blues and good food, then you've got to visit Buddy's.

We got there around 9pm, just in time to grab a couple of stools at a counter along the wall, order food as the band started playing. The food was really good and reasonably priced. The band was great and played a solid two hour set. Every seat in the place has a good view of the band; there's a... More

Friends told me that I had to visit a blues club when I had to travel through Chicago recently, there are a few but fairly randomly I chose Buddy Guy's Legends. Good Decision!! I had a fantastic Friday evening (the cover charge is $20 Fridays and Saturdays, doubled from other weekdays, but it's great value), Buddy was in the club... More

I was front row when volunteering at the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues festival when Buddy Guy headlined the show. The iconic Blues legend didn't disappoint. So naturally when I was in Chicago it became a quest to visit Legends. It was a great experience and is highly recommended!

There's always a great music show at Buddy Guy's Legends. If you come to Chicago and don't visit this place, you've certainly missed one of the best things in town. Once you're there, talk to Johnnie and he'll make you feel like at home.
