While visiting Chicago for a work conference, a coworker and I had dinner at Buddy Guy's. The food was great! I had the Bourbon Shrimp and my coworker had the jambalaya. We both enjoyed our food. The music was also good. If you enjoy the blues and good food, then you've got to visit Buddy's.

We got there around 9pm, just in time to grab a couple of stools at a counter along the wall, order food as the band started playing. The food was really good and reasonably priced. The band was great and played a solid two hour set. Every seat in the place has a good view of the band; there's a... More

Friends told me that I had to visit a blues club when I had to travel through Chicago recently, there are a few but fairly randomly I chose Buddy Guy's Legends. Good Decision!! I had a fantastic Friday evening (the cover charge is $20 Fridays and Saturdays, doubled from other weekdays, but it's great value), Buddy was in the club... More

I was front row when volunteering at the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues festival when Buddy Guy headlined the show. The iconic Blues legend didn't disappoint. So naturally when I was in Chicago it became a quest to visit Legends. It was a great experience and is highly recommended!

There's always a great music show at Buddy Guy's Legends. If you come to Chicago and don't visit this place, you've certainly missed one of the best things in town. Once you're there, talk to Johnnie and he'll make you feel like at home.

It was a once in a lifetime experience. He was sitting at the bar drinking and on request he played. He refused in the beginning but I told him that I was visiting from The Netherlands. Nice place, good music and reasonable food. Recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Reasonable drinks, food, good service, and excellent jazz. Performers vary but are all high quality. Fun place to spend any night before or after dinner.

This place is a stomping ground nearly every time I've been to Chicago. I've seen Buddy Guy and several other legendary blues musicians place there over the years. Even the lesser known bands are not to be missed. It is a small and cosy venue, expect to stand as seating is scarce unless you get in early. Even then you... More

Went to see Buddy Guy play, which I believe only occurs every January. Tickets required well in advance ($55), standing room only unless you arrive really, really early. Small venue, great ambiance and patronized by many locals and Blues enthusiasts. Buddy's performance was one of the best music experiences we ever had, across any genre, venue or performer(s). WOW. We visited while out with clients for a after dinner drink and some good music, we were not disappointed on either account, we had the "Buddy Brew" which was good and saw some amazing performers while meeting new people at the table. Just a great place to enjoy fantastic live music.
