This was a night I had looked forward to for a long time, and now it's a night to remember. Two great acts on a Saturday night, and we got there early enough to catch a bit of the acoustic opener as well. Great music, a great environment, good acoustics. We went early to get a table since we're a... More

I prefer more rocking upbeat blues than the traditional slower/acoustic/harmonica based blues so I was very disappointed to come here and see the Cash Box Kings, who I thought were just too slow. It seems there was no song that really got the place moving so we left after an hour. This place also needs a lot more tables, it... More

Gwen at the Hotel Monaco suggested this club. What a fun place to go to! The music and atmosphere was fantastic. Clarence, a long time staff member escorted me to the bank machine down the street when I asked where it was - now that's service. Thanks Clarence! When I got home I read Buddy Guys book, "When I Left... More

We arrived early on a Friday evening for the first show. There was no cover charge. We enjoyed Diamond Jim Greene's performance very much. There were only a few tables occupied when we arrived. By 8:00 pm most were occupied. There were a few people like us who left before the cover charge started. (The evening we went was the... More

My mum and I came here on our last night in Chicago, and in the US. It was a friday night, so the cover was $20. However the drink and food were very reasonable, and the food was delicious - Jumbo Gumbo all the way! But...the best thing about this place, was the music. Amazing!! Nick and the Ovorols followed... Great night at this oldschool but modern place that is decorated with BG and other blues memorabilia. Signed guitars by his friends, gift shop, great live blues. There is a 10 or 20 dollars entrance free but the beer goes around 5-6. And I met Buddy Guy, who even agreed to make a photo however it was blurry and he... More

Went here one night during a recent stay in Chicago. The music started at 6pm and we sat and had a few drinks. The prices were acceptable for a venue such as this. We each ordered different items and found them enjoyable. The portion size was enormous. The service was very good. Our drinks remained full and the plates were... More

We were here on Friday to see Charlie Brown and were not disappointed . The music was just a first rate act and the night was worth the trip from the UK

We visited this venue as part of a city trip to Chicago. The first impression wasn't good - an aggressive guy demanding we pay the cover charge before we stepped over the threshold: so much for the warm welcome! Once we'd paid up we found a table during the busy Blues Fest weekend and the music was excellent and atmospheric... More
