Very interesting, fun day trip.

I thought this aquarium was much better than the Baltimore Aquarium, which I enjoy a lot. The layout was fantastic- the somewhat open, circular design really makes it easy to go from one area to the next, even with crowds. The aquatic show was not the flashiest in the world in terms of tricks, but was beautiful and and gave... More

This was a favorite for our CityPass attractions. The extra cost for the dolphin show and jelly display wouldn't have been worth it, but as part of the CityPass, it was great! Lots of fun for kids and adults, and tons of creatures you can't see in other places.

I recently traveled here with my family (including grade school kids), as well as a friend and her 11 month old baby in a stroller. So much to see here! Although the ticket is a bit pricey, it is well worth it considering how much is here and how many animals there are to care for. We did get a... More

We where lucky enough to have the city pass and was able to get in within minutes, but once in, it was very crowded. I found the staff to be very helpful in directing us where to go and kept things moving. It did seem like a very nice Aquarium but think I would of enjoyed it more if not... More

We love visiting aquariums. This is one of the best we've ever been to. Huge tanks! Fun for both kids and adults. It is a bit pricey, but sometimes there are free days. Or, it's cheaper if you're going to get the museum pass to see a few of them.

I love going to aquariums and this is probably one of my favorite. The exhibits were great. There's a jellyfish one they currently have which was really nice. Lots of people though so go in the morning to avoid the lines and crowds.

Enter another world. The fact that they have just about every fish imaginable is awsome but the entire building engulfs you with various displays and an atmosphere that really makes this a fun experience..and educational for the kids.

I drove to Chicago to pick up my daughter from O'Hare ... with only 24 hours in the city my 6 year old, 8 year old and I we were able to do A LOT by checking out the Shedd Aquarium's Jazz Night 5-10 p.m. on Wednesday evening. We stayed at the Grant Park Best Western and the Shedd was... More

The aquarium is nice - good but not great. Kids will probably like it, mine did but were ready to leave earlier than we had planned. Please believe the other reviewers who say they stood in line 2 hours to get in without City Passes - we saw the line as we were leaving! We had City Passes, got there... More

book your tickets online in advance and pick them up at will call. So much better than waiting in the long line outside. We were lucky enough to catch the jellyfish exhibit which was really cool. This is a good place to take the family and then catch a ferry over to Navy Pier.
