My wife and I recently visited Chicago, and both of us being food lovers signed up for the Bucktown & Wicker Park tour. Our guide was Kent and he was awesome. There were 6 food stops and Kent gave us a background on each of the establishments where we ate to really enhance the food tasting experience. The tour balanced... More

A great way to find how locals eat quality food in distinctive Chicago neighbourhoods. We took the Bucktown/Wicker Park and Golden Coast tours.

This was an amazing experience. A must do when you have time. We stopped at five different restaurants, had an excellent variety of food, learned a lot and really enjoyed every bit of what the tour had to offer. I can't wait to try one of the other tours that are offered. Great job, Lisa (our guide).

I recently moved to Chicago and had first time visitors this weekend so decided to try the Old Town tour. We had a great time! Good mixture of local food knowledge and history, as well as some architectural tidbits. Plenty of food and we did not leave hungry. Do not eat before going either! Full size portions at all stops.... More

Our family of 8. My husband and three adult kids with spouses went on the tour. Rachel was a friendly and informative guide. We had LOTS of food sampling. (Better come hungry) and plenty of time to enjoy each place. Plus as we walked from place to place she gave us info on the neighborhood. The area is beautiful and... More

This was the highlight of my trip! It was a perfect balance of eating and walking/learning the history of the neighbourhood and the city and everything was on time. The food was fantastic and offered a great variety. I will definitely do another food tour in a different area if I visit Chigaco again.

We took the Bucktown/ Wicker Parker Tour with the incredibly knowledgeable and insanely friendly Kent. On our first day in Chicago the tour set the tone for the entire trip- informing us of each of the neighbourhoods, their reputations, and some necessary local visits. The tour itself balanced on that fine line of informative and entertaining. Kent offered us architectural... More

This was an excellent experience for everyone in my group. I was one of three group leaders for 40+ community members from Manitowoc & Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Among several older & middle-aged adults, we also harder several special-needs students & their chaperones. I heard nothing but enthusiastic comments from everyone. My group guide was particularly outstanding! I believe her name was... More

Delicious and varied tastings and great stories in a lively and energy filled neighborhood made this really fun tour! Having lived in the area for many years, our guide Kent had great insight into both the history and modern day neighbourhoods with some interesting and funny stories to accompany our tastings. This was my second tour with Chicago Food Planet... More
