Great zoo. Miss the 'good ole' days though'

We've been members for years now. My kids love it. I love it. If you join, parking is free as is admission. Pack a sandwich and you have a free day of enjoying the outdoors. I DO have to confess to missing the way it used to be. Something changed. The last decade or so has been hard on the... More

This zoo has updated and added a lot, but more towards couples with children to keep them occupied as well as learning experiences. But I noticed some areas you had to pay for your children unless you brought a Family package. When I use To go it was family oriented but just with the petting zoo. Now I have been... More

The Brookfield Zoo is a nice way to spend a Saturday. It's a pretty big park, larger than I thought, and you could really spend all day going to all of the exhibits. They have a large variety of animals and exhibits and it's cool to walk around and see them all. The problem is you never know which animals... More

So many visits here - as members - and every time we see something new :) Grounds are beautiful, love the Holiday Magic every year.... Just wish there were more big cats......and more education in general about how to save them and other endangered species.

Buying the annual membership is much cheaper if plan to spend the whole day and see all the exhibits. We live local so its great for the kids we can just go for a few hours and not feel like we have to stay and to get our money's worth. Many great exhibits included in general admission. Warmer weather is... More

I've been watching the TV commercials for Brookfield Zoo on our local TV stations recently. So, after not visiting the zoo for 15 years, we thought we would give it another try even though our past experiences at the zoo have been mediocre. The zoo is located in Brookfield, Il, hence the name Brookfield Zoo. The drive to the zoo... More

Brookfield Zoo has been a family destination for decades in the Chicagoland area. It has an impressive display of animals, information about conservation, and how human activity effect the world all around us. The zoo is very large so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. However, if you do get tired there are vans that will drive you to different... More

The holiday lights were beautiful and the laser show awesome. So many Christmas Trees beautifully decorated by people from all walks of life. The only problem was getting into the zoo parking lot so many cars and slow moving. Parking is terrible

As avid wildlife photographers, my Wife and I chose to visit the zoo on Christmas Eve Day. Being Thursday, admission was free which was a great surprise. (Admission is free Tuesdays and Thursdays) There is a $10 parking fee. Neither of us had been here before and we loved it. What's special about this zoo is that the animals are... More

Great place to visit. We live in Brookfield and have had a zoo membership for 25 years. They are always updating the exhibits, the docents are very friendly and knowledgeable. Holiday Magic is wonderful for any age.
