Must watch Sun Valley Serenade...

It takes place in Sun Valley and it's an old black and white film... and it will change your experience forever. (for the best)

No lift lines - ever! Perfect grooming of slopes. 3200 feet vertical. Difficult to get to - Airport is not an all- weather field

The conditions were the worst I have ever seen. The resort was overpriced, outdated and a 30 minute bus ride to the ski hill. If you are looking for a good ski vacation, this is not it. I've visted many ski resorts all over North America and Sun Valley was by far the most disappointing and not worth the trip.

We did 2 days of spring skiing at Sun Valley ski resort, both times at the River Run entrance. We expected the snow to be slushy, and it was, certainly in the afternoon. But it was still good snow in the morning, especially at the higher elevations. The ski runs are long if you go to the top. The green... More

A true Western ski resort. Their snowmaking, run maintainence and grooming Are unsurpassed. When no one else has snow, the Valley usually does. Customer service is excellent. Certainly not inexpensive, but worth it! They call it Sun Valley for good reason.

Sun Valley Resort, at least in the last few years after Mr. Holdings death, has invested vast amounts of money for flowers, and for one group in particular... The Allen Co.. For the rest of the people I talked with; my own experiences included over the years, twenty five now and counting, Sun Valley Resort does not live up to... More

We are SO glad we included a stop here to ski 2 days after a week of skiing at Targhee. This was a first visit to Ketchum and Sun Valley and we want to return! Even though the snow base is low (everywhere in the West this year) and the surrounding mountains were largely brown (except higher up), the snow... More

My title says it all. Good ski rental services and good free bus service in the area. There is no ski in ski out as far as I can see, so the buses are a great help. This is the only place with a beginner terrain park (it was great fun) and for beginner skiers it must be excellent.

We were here the end of Jan 2015. The snow wasn't great, but I really enjoyed the mountain amenities. Dollar Mountain was perfect for my 6yr. old learning to ski. Dollar is a true beginner mountain. I can't say the same for Bald mountain. A true beginner would not feel comfortable on Bald. The green runs are more like blues... More

I love skiing at Sun Valley! The resort is on the smaller side when compared with the mega resorts, but there's plenty of slopes and you won't get bored. It really is a skier's mountain, lots of fall line skiing, NO lift lines, the best snow making in the world, top notch lodges, and really nice people. Baldy is filled... More
