Sun Valley Resort is one of the original ski resorts in the USA and definitely worth visiting - though it can be hard to get to due to limited flights. It is a magical, small place with a huge mountain that offers superb skiing along with superb amenities on the mountain (both the expert mountain - "Baldy" and the beginner's... More

This is great in snow and summer. All kinds of sports available to you. You can take lessons, hear some music, get a go-pro camera and mountain bike or ski down a hill. Swimming holes nearby too! The elegance of this place is so real. Everyone is so kind all of the time. The downstairs bowling alley just got remodeled.... More

We love visiting this resort, whether we are staying at the lodge or renting a vacation home nearby. Our kids are not skiers, so we have visited several times during the summer. It is a great way to beat the heat and enjoy Idaho nature and pamper yourself at the same time. The flowers, ponds, and walkways are beautiful and... More

We were attending a meeting at the Sun Valley Resort for two days. We booked two room's at the newly renovated hotel. The hotel was very nice and clean but had NO hot water. The first morning the water in the shower was barely warm and the second morning is was cold. There is nothing worse than paying top dollar... More

I took my family Sun Valley Resort, returning after about 35 years since my last visit. While it has changed a bit since my last time, the charm and magic still remained. I remembered riding my bike as boy on paved paths through alpine areas. The paths remain and have increased. There are over 30 miles of these paths, with... More

One of the best vacation spots in US. Great to visit year around. I think best time to visit is in winter around Christmas time. Resort has an out-door heated pool to enjoy on a cold starry night.

No lift lines - ever! Perfect grooming of slopes. 3200 feet vertical. Difficult to get to - Airport is not an all- weather field

The conditions were the worst I have ever seen. The resort was overpriced, outdated and a 30 minute bus ride to the ski hill. If you are looking for a good ski vacation, this is not it. I've visted many ski resorts all over North America and Sun Valley was by far the most disappointing and not worth the trip.
