I love skiing at Sun Valley! The resort is on the smaller side when compared with the mega resorts, but there's plenty of slopes and you won't get bored. It really is a skier's mountain, lots of fall line skiing, NO lift lines, the best snow making in the world, top notch lodges, and really nice people. Baldy is filled... More

I would highly recommend celebrating New Year's Eve at the Bubbly Bash party organized by the Sun Valley Center for the Arts. This year party (2014/2015) was at the River Run Lodge. We had an amazing time, we didn't stop dancing till close time which, unfortunately, was at 1 AM. Get your party clothes. (This is not an informal event).... More

I'm not sure where to begin. For me, it's a toss up as to whether Summer or Winter is the best time to visit. I'm going to focus on Winter. First of all, unlike many large ski areas it is fabulously uncrowded. Plan to spend a lot for what you get - but in my opinion, well worth it. From... More

A great time to visit SunValley is Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall! I've enjoyed the Sun Valley resort in all seasons because I lived less than 15 minutes away. The staff are always friendly and provide great service. A few months ago I moved 2,000 miles away to another ski resort but know I'll return for a visit before long!

So many other resorts give you easy access to their local mountains- I would not give SV high marks for that one.

We just returned from Sun Valley and 5 days at their Jazz Jamboree. The music was wonderful and we had a great time. All you Jazz lovers should put this on your list of must attend. The variety of music was great as it not only included jazz but also big band and the Whiffenpoofs from Yale University (They were... More

We took the tram and hiked some on the ski mountain. This is just cool mountain town. Reminded us of Telluride. The skiing is split up among three mountains. The rich area has lifts but they are more for beginners.
