The best kept secret is the summer. The summer concerts series begins the end of July and is pretty much every night. It only last about an hour so either go out and enjoy a picnic or make a 7:45 dinner reservation. We enjoy going early, taking a blanket and chairs and a picnic from Louise's (fried chicken on Wednesdays... More

From Whistler, to Grand Targhee: From Telluride to Solitude, Chamonix....and on and on. Sun Valley is the one I remember. It's an old resort, but the sun, the runs, and the old town of Hailey always make me want to come back. My best ski memory is a long day on the runs, and then pitchers of Dos Equis on... More

Falconfling1 Thank you for your very positive review of the Sun Valley Resort. We appreciate your positive comments and look forward to hosting you again. As you wrote, Sun Valley is enchanting. From the long runs, lack of lift lines, great dining, endless recreational opportunities, to the friendliness of the locals, there is nothing quite like Sun Valley. And we... More

Just got back from sun valley and all I can say is what a great place. The people were friendly and the staff could not do enough for us. The resort is beautiful and the surrounding area is outstanding for nature walks biking and rafting. Just a little difficult to get there with a limited flight scheduld.

Recently took the kids to the Sun Valley Golf course to play miniature golf. Not only did we play 36 holes, but had a fantastic lunch inside while watch the World Cup. By kids I mean two 13 teen and one 11 year old. Not only did the staff treat us super, but the meals were over the top as... More

The pool and spa are under renovation in the Lodge. This June/July the service in the Ram Restaurant was under-par....very unusual, but nevertheless disappointing. The cherished chocolates at bed turn down are replaced with a cheaper one chocolate. Cleaning of the rooms is now twice a day - a nice idea....you can tell the resort has a never general manager.

We own a condo across the street from the resort. There is so much to do at the resort. The facilities are all first rate. Every year the resort continues to improve. Fine dining spots are excellent. We spend most of our time there during the warmer months. The surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful.

Sun Valley is by far our favorite place to go skiing. Baldy is a great mountain, the high speed quads, incredible on-mountain lodges, and perhaps best of all, the authentic mountain town that is Ketchum. Best combo of alpine and Nordic skiing anywhere! It is our beloved weekend getaway winter, spring, summer and fall. All around the coolest mountain resort... More
