Horseback ride

Gentle horses, beautiful ride through the forest and awesome views of Lake Pend Orielle. The ranch is just beautiful and they have cabins you can rent in the summer or winter.

Nice friendly owners, beautiful and relaxed setting. We stayed in "The Duke" room inspired by John Wayne. We loved every single minute of our stay. Lodge/cabin was just what our hearts needed. The trails were both nice for walking and horseback riding. The owners could not have been more friendly. Good people. They sat down and had dinner with us.... More

Great place to unplug! Wonderful setting, great trail rides, plenty of family western activities. Food was great. Cabin well appointed. I want to go back.

Went to horse camp a couple times and have been back a few times. Beautiful and well maintained. Must say I love the north west.

We had a sleigh ride and also dinner was so nice and the people were so down home. We enjoyed the place and would like to go back there and stay for a night or else for a weekend it was so awesome.

I have gone on sleigh rides here and it was out of this world! It was a Winter Wonderland and their big beautiful draft horses were decked out with bells and I felt like I was in a fairy tale! The owners are friendly and helpful, and enjoy serving their guests. Afterwards, we came back to their beautiful lodge and... More

I did not stand at the ranch, however went with family members for a 2 hour tail ride. Barb & Kim ensured we were feeling confident with sitting in the saddle & in control of our horses, before heading out. A beautiful fall day, breathtaking scenery. I would return again on my next trip to Sandpoint.

My wife and I spent 6 days in Idaho, at the Western Pleasure Ranch near Sandpoint. The ranch is a wonderful place for a number of reasons. We were looking for a ranch vacation to celebrate our anniversary. Some of my criteria was scenic, quiet, comfort, horseback riding and wildlife. Western Pleasure has it all and then some. A great... Wonderful ranch in the woods. Cabins to stay in, horse back riding. A large lodge for family gathering. And the grounds are full of flowers, and lawns, and trees. So peaceful, and a wonderful staff. The winter sleigh rides are fun too!

The Western Pleasure Guest Ranch has partnered with Sandpoint Nordic Ski Club to groom Nordic ski trails on their property. There is a 4.5 mi gentle hill climb and a 2 mi mostly flat tour around a large field. Tracks had been set on the flat trail, but even without tracks the Big Hill trail is good for classic nordic...
