This place starts with a nice twisty ride up the mountain staff were awesome and super friendly. Room was super comfy with a great view of the mountain. Beds were wicked and room has a DVD player. Two robes were in the room which we used after our dip in the pool and hot tub. Which had great views also.... More

It was a beautiful drive up the mountain. Once we arrived and parked we explored the tiny little village at the base of the ski area. There were a couple of restaurants open, a big pile of snow in one section and stunning views. Everyone was very nice and we spent a long time just talking to the workers at... More

Although Schweitzer Mountain was closed during our visit, it was a gorgeous drive with view of the lake at Sandpoint and snow covered mountain. The road was perfectly maintained even though there was lots of snow remainin g on the mountain sides.

Frequent storms leave this hill with exceptional coverage, and if you time it right, you are in for a killer powder day. Lots of friendly locals, reasonable lift tickets all add up to a great holiday.

I have skied 26 resorts in the US and Canada. None of them has more extensive and varied terrain than Schweitzer Mountain Resort. Consistent and dependable snowfall keeps Schweitzer open when many others ski areas are closed for lack of snow. Schweitzer has an excellent lift system, a great terrain park, and fabulous views of Lake Pend Orielle and the... More

Liked the snow when it was good. Seemed to snow and turn to rain and back to snow throughout every day. Mountain was in the clouds most of the time with poor visibility and very windy on our visit. I would say that this turned out to just be our timing as others in our group had been there before... More

Schweitzer is an undiscovered outdoor sports paradise. In the winter the skiing is fantastic with runs that will challenge all skier levels and no lift lines. In the summer there is hiking, climbing, paragliding, mountain biking, a great fishing. Schweitzer is very family friendly. The town looks like a small Swiss village with the most amazing lake views.

Never heard of Schewitzer, when a friend told me about it I thought, on paper it does not look to big. It is deceiving. I could not believe all the terrain, and it was not a very easy mountain. It had plenty of difficult trails, lots of powder and groomers. All employees seem to like working there. Don't know how... More

We liked the variety of runs and great grooming. It is a huge place but still managed to be friendly and give the mom and pop feel. Unlike some large ski areas. We would definitely ski there again.
