As long as the Fall weather isn't bad, it’s a beautiful and peaceful spot for getting away: about 9 miles up the hill from Highway 95 and another 3 miles to downtown Sandpoint. The Schweitzer resorts are very new and nice. So quiet however, they roll up the sidewalks at 8:30pm. But a morning walk through golden Tamaracks and evergreens... More

No matter what time of year you are in Sandpoint, it is worth a drive up Schweitzer for the view. Especially at sunset - it is so amazing looking down over the lake and Montana Mountains.

This is a ski resort in the wintertime that looks awesome, but we hiked up one of the trails on the mountain and saw a wide variety of trees and plants with some fall colors starting to kick in. The elevation change made the hike challenging but the views of Lake Pend Oreille on the ascent and descent made it... More

We went to visit to see what it would be like for the Winter. It is very pretty and small. The runs all looked moderate. They operate a chair in the Summer months for viewing.

What an amazing setting for this smaller ski resort in northern Idaho! Some great skiing in the winter and also great mountain biking in the summer! It has a large resort feel with the condos and village right at the base, but the employees make you feel at home. Just a great family environment any time of the year. Sandpoint... More

It was very loud and cold, but that's to be expected in the situation. Enjoyed it otherwise, would be amazing views from the top if not for the rain.

Good music, minus one band. Great family event with activities for all...mountain biking, hiking, berry picking.

We rode the ski lift to the top of the mountain and hiked through some of the trails. We stopped along the way and enjoyed some wild huckleberries that were growing everywhere. Beautiful scenery!

Our first visit to Schweitzer Mountain Resort in the summer. We were amazed to find 90% of the restaurants and shops open daily. Plus, the mountain biking and hiking are amazing. You can head out on your own or take the quad chairlift to the top and work your way back down. Recommendation: Lower the cost of the lift ticket.... More

Some nice shops. The sky lift is $15. During the summer you can take bikes up/down or hike the trails. Some nice shops and restaurants. Activities for the kids. Horseback rides, biking, hiking and a variety of other activities. Made for a nice afternoon - although afternoon got very hot in the sun.
