Love doing the 3.5 km walk and the exercise stations around this beautiful lake full of wildlife. Well maintained lawns and what's left of the shady trees, plus bbqs and children's playground make it a perfect spot for a picnic.

A very pleasant place for a nice walk around the lake or a picnic. There are lots of water birds and parrots and black swans. I didn't see any turtles though.

Lake Monger impressed me. An expansive wetland on Perth's doorstep offers great delights for the serious bird watcher and tourist alike. A walking track around the lake (about three or four kms) offers exercise and viewing spots to admire the lake and resident birds. Unrushed in an hour we located 30 species of wetland birds in very significant numbers. Particularly... More

If you want to escape the city, take the free green bus to Leederville. The take street in front of the busstop and after 5 minutes you will see the lake. A few kilometers to stroll around and if you are a birder, you are in for a treat!

located 2 minutes drive from Perth CBD, lovely big lake with a sealed pathway around the perimeter, good for walk, run or ride, plenty of birds and wildlife, BBQ's and tables on Southern end of lake, lovely affluent area to drive around.

Lake Monger has recently undergone renewal works to restore much of the natural look & feel of the area. A popular place for joggers and walkers the path around the lake is about 3.5Km. Two gazebos are located over the lake and offer excellent views of the bird life on the water. Bar-B-Ques are available for public use as are... More

Unfortunately I had a fair walk to get to the lake from my hotel. Consequently I wasn't able to walk all around the lake. However I still saw plenty of birds including black swans, white correllas and water birds. There were family friendly facilities including a play area and plenty of seating. The Lake is beautiful and well worth a... More

I jog here with a mate and love everything but the midgies in summer. Last trip was a bike ride with my bro and Little Miss 7. We had a whale going round the easy 3-4km bike path, stopping for the playgrounds on the way of course. Toilet block on south side came in handy for the small bladder!
