Lower Bay Beach is one of three beautiful beaches in Bequia. There are numerous restaurants and bars plus public areas if you just want quiet. There is good snorkeling off the beach. Keegan's and others rent beach chairs for only 10EC per day. We walked from Friendship.

Unfortunately I have been spoilt by deserted pink beaches of Barbuda and this is not in the same league. However good safe beach with several adjacent bars, which is popular with tourists and locals. Lots of interest from the beach with yachts and the occasional cruise liner and tall ship coming and going. Be aware that sea can be subject... More

Six of us snorkeled here twice. Wonderful variety seen in both places. Go to far ends for best coral access. I watched three large octopusses for a long time. Saw some eels and a large seahorse. All the regular fishes too. We loved the sand beach entry, with no surf. So often the good snorkeling comes with difficult surf and... More

So glad we walked the length of the trail to get to this last Beach . For me very special white sand, not many yachts, few human beings and totally idyllic. 3 restaurant/ bars in total I think. Well worth the beautiful stroll down don't miss the little caves on the way down. Post for the Camera till you drop... More

Great beach with trees to sit under for shade. Good snorkeling too. Water conditions can differ day to day. When calm it's great. Nice and warm. Bring a float.

I've been coming to this beach for over 20 years. It now has three restaurants - well cafes. None of them are great but that's not what you go to Bequia for. Friendly locals, clean pale sand, shallow clear water, a reef, and a brilliant happy atmosphere. One of my favourite places in the world.

A long beach with a few bar-restaurants and a lot less yachts moored giving a feeling of the sea being yours. Seemingly not a beach the cruise ship people hit, being slightly further away from Port Elizabeth, it is a little further out and best reached by car/taxi. A feeling of being away from it all without being solitary.

Somewhat less crowded than Princess Margaret and a bit further away but still at the Caribbean side. Picture perfect.

On the small, tropical island of Bequia this is one of their best beaches. On the leeward side of the island, the water is calm and clear. There are a number of restaurants and beach bars where you can loiter. Not far from Port Elizabeth, it is easily, and cheaply, accessed by the local dollar buses. They will let you... More
