Tasting yummy, affordable wines with a great view

Finally made time to visit one of my favorite wineries in the area and was not disappointed. I think they have some of the best wines in Idaho, though I must admit that I am not... read more

Finally made time to visit one of my favorite wineries in the area and was not disappointed. I think they have some of the best wines in Idaho, though I must admit that I am not a wine expert and my typical range is $10-20 for a bottle ;) But that's why I love them - affordable, approachable wines that... Beautiful views, friendly staff, off the beaten path. This place is definitely worth the drive for an afternoon.

First time there, once a month they have a special meal, winery tour. We had an amazing evening. The food was just awesome and they paired the 6. course meal with six different wines. They give you a tour of the winery, beautiful view, just an all around great evening. If you are in Namps and can get tickets to... More

Had my annual visit to Sawtooth yesterday. Very quiet at the tasting room. Maddie was very forthcoming with information about the wines and timing of the harvest this year. Sav blanc and Campenere were our faves.

We visited the Sawtooth winery on a Friday at noon, & there was a small group ahead of us doing a tasting. The cost of the wine tasting is refunded if you purchase wine. Wine tasting is done on the 2nd floor, & they have a nice deck to enjoy hour devours & wine. They have some good wines, &... More

Cost of tastings were very reasonable and were refunded with the purchase of a bottle. The only complaint that we had from this winery was the space. The winery started to get busy when we were there and we were seated outside on the deck but this place could get busy very fast and we could see that there could... More

Me and my husband have visited Sawtooth a couple times before. Since we live in Nampa it's really not that far of a drive. We finally signed up with their wine club the weekend before (don't know why it took us so long). Their pickup party was the next weekend. They also had a cab vertical wine tasting the same... More

Beautiful location with large picnic area. Fantastic wines. No food is available - bring your own. Superb Idaho wines.

We had tried so very many of the "regular" wines it was fun to see some different ones like the chocolate mint wine and the chocolate strawberry. We assumed it would be the same chocolate milk looking wine with strawberry flavors but was surprised when it was basically a strawberry wine with chocolate flavoring. We walked out with two bottles!

This is in response to the extremely negative review by Tiny 1096 ("Tastes like drinking dirt...."). Everyone has a right to an opinion, of course, and wine preferences are by nature a matter of personal taste, but that review seemed unnecessarily brutal and might discourage others from visiting. I am not associated with Sawtooth in any capacity and I don't... More
