When fishing in my own boat or traveling and fishing in Mike Luther's boat, staying at Kirby Creek Lodge is always a special treat when in Hells Canyon. The amenities are comfortable after spending a day on the river, and the home cooked meals are outstanding. I've been bringing clients to Kirby Creek for 15 years and look forward to... More

Snake River: Good skipper. Good food and enjoyable location at lunch stop. Geological information lacking.

My husband and I took the full day excursion on the Snake River all the way to the dam. It was a 10 hr day and over 100 degrees! What a fabulous day! The guide was very knowledgeable about the river and the history of the area. He was amazingly considerate to others on the river as well as to... More

What a great trip! My Wife and I plus three other couples (friends) took the day long trip up to Hells Canyon Dam. Captain Eric and first mate Bob were the best crew you could ask for. Both were very friendly and definately knew Hells Canyon and its history. It was a long day, 10 hours but it was worth... More

We were fortunate to book a half day trip at the last minute, $121 apiece. The trip left at 10AM from the Hells Gate Park, on Snake River Ave, just south of the office for Sn ake River Adventures Tours. Our group was fairly small, about 12 people. Our guide, Eric Pardeiu (sp?) was courteous, helpful, and knowledgable. The first... More

My family and I traveled from Springfield, IL to visit some friends in Montana and we all traveled to Idaho to take the Snake River Adventure. It was well worth the drive because our Captain, Eric and deckhand Bob, were very informing of all the history behind Hell's Canyon. Not to mention the vast amount of wildlife, wild fire, pictographs,... More

The full-day tour, although a bit expensive at over $200 per person, was well worth the price. The staff was friendly, and the interpretive portion of the trip was fascinating. It was very exciting to travel over 200 miles (round trip) on the river while learning about the history of the homesteaders of over 100 years ago, the geology of... More

We originally reserved an 11-hour jetboat rafting trip to the dam and looked forward to a fun-filled adventure with class 3, 4 and 5 whitewater. Prior to our visit, the outfitter contacted us to advise this particular tour would not be available on our selected date, and suggested we take the trip to the Kirkwood Ranch (8 hours), which would... My husband and I took this trip on July 5th. It was so much fun! It was a long trip to get to the boogie boat (3 hours) but our captain's commentary and the scenery, plus a nice boat ride made it go quickly. We had a nice lunch at Mike's ranch and then we got to go on the... More

If you are looking for a leisure cruise up the river and back this is for you. If you want any adventure or rapids look elsewhere. It's beautiful but the scenery doesn't change much and six hours is way too long. The crew is great, the lunch is what you would expect from a box lunch, the 20 minute swim... More
