My husband I stopped for a nice soak while passing through on a road trip. We actually routed ourselves through Lava Hot Springs for the experience. We got in mid afternoon, mid week which is less expensive. $3.50 each to rent towels but get $2.00 back when you return them. 2 quarters to use a locker, did not need the... More

Most of my experiences with springs have included mineral water (read: Sulpher smell). This does not! I've never had such a sublime day laying in hot water. We drove for hours after leaving and still felt fine that night and slept great. If I lived anywhere near here I would have a lifetime membership! It's so clean, The changing rooms,... More

My first time and we sat in all the pools. They had a Tempature for everyone's comfort and 2 tubs had jets. It was a nice cloudy day and made the temperature perfect.

I was thrilled by how inexpensive and luxurious the hot pools were. There were about 6 pool progressing from coolest to hottest. There were two jetted tubs and four regular pools. The water was great and the facility was great! The facility had changing rooms with showers, beautiful pools, friendly staff and reasonable rates. I loved my experience at the... More

This little hot springs is one of my favorite quirky destinations. Nice, clean environment and pools with many temperatures. I have never been when it was too crowded to enjoy. The little town around the springs is also home to other fun activities - bingo at the community center, good massages, and tubing down the river. A fun place.

Left Boise at 5, drove 4.5 hours, had sandwiches in the car to save time - had to get there in time before the springs closed. Checked into our hotel, & wife and I each had a beer. Walked over to hot springs with wife and kids & the woman at the desk said she could smell alcohol and denied... More

I'm sure this is a great place in season if you are really sociable, but off-season, it's a gem....several pools going from toasty warm to seriously hot, large dressing rooms with lockers that really work, and shade canopies over a couple of the pools....You can soak all day, or pay less for a one-time soak, but ALL of the pools... We go here every visit to Lava Hotsprings. They have upgraded the facility, it's much cleaner and user friendly than in years past. This is by far the best place for those with kids. The private pools are much more persnikity about kids. Mind that theese are "soaking" pools not swimming pools even so the kiddies can have a good... More

Great place for couples in the Winter..some kids were there, but I think the pools would be too hot for them to enjoy as much as the adults. WE LOVED IT!!! It was easy to find, the cashier very friendly and helpful and the hot pools wonderful!!! they had a graduated temperature as the water aimed downhill-so hotter to just... More
