On a road trip, we read about the springs and detoured 600 miles. Totally worth it. This is a polished operation, immaculately clean, and reasonably priced. A very natural feel, super friendly staff. I'm an aficionado of hot springs and have visited them all over the world. This is one of the best. Make the drive.

Great little get away. We go year-round. One of my favorite times to go is when its snowing. Sitting in the hot water with snow falling all around is just magical

NICE, comfortable, HOT WATER! - CLEAN, WELL KEPT! - not much else to really say here! - I liked the fact that kids were NOT allowed to dive, splash, raise hell, it's a SOAKING POOL - very peaceful....and they never run out of HOT WATER!

We enden up in Lava Hot Springs by coinsidence and it was great. We stayed at the nearby KOA, only a short walk from the pools. The area was so clean, and the staff very very friendly. We will come back for sure.

I thought the pools were well maintained and liked that they were different temperatures, but they are definitely just for soaking as there were no "fun" areas for the kids.

Nice place for a weary traveler to relax at a resonable price. Senior discount available - just ask. There are several pools of different temperatures and for a mineral hot spring, I was surprised that they were able to remove most of the odor. This isn't Pagosa Springs, but it was still nice! Best to avoid the summer weekend evening... More

We visited the mineral pools for a relaxing soak after a day of hiking and tubing on the Portneuf River. The pool complex features pools with temperatures 102 degrees F and higher. The facility offers dressing rooms, lockers and towel rentals. Friendly staff. Like many mineral springs, there is an interesting history to explore here.

Lava Hot Springs offers a couple of different pool site which are both very nice. We really enjoyed soaking in the pools after a day of tubing down the river. There is no sulfur or chlorine smell just nice relaxing heat. Very nice
