Lava is such a cool little town. Good place for families and for the younger bar going crowd. Something for everyone. Lots of fun shops, you can float the river in the summer, go to the swimming pools or relax in the hot pools. Great atmosphere.

We always have a relaxing time when we visit Lava's hot pools. They are beautiful, well maintained and there are several pools with varying degrees of water. Plus there is no sulfer smell in the water!

A highly recommended stop on your drive between Salt Lake City and Jackson. Simple, clean, inexpensive, convenient. A slightly larger temperature spread between pools would be nice but that's a very minor complaint. And if you are really into thermal waters, there's a number of lodging options nearby.

Been coming to the Hot Pools pretty much my entire life. The most recent visit was with my husband on a weekend getaway. Love the different pools and different temperatures, very relaxing and definitely worth the visit.

Well kept up facility with several pools of different temperatures. Careful as the hotter pools are intolerable. In my opinion, this location is only suitable when the temperatures outside are 50 degrees or less. Clean and well kept up. Otherwise, the town is a throwback to the '80's and a bit of a dump. The KOA campground/rv park was nice.... More

I have been coming here since I was a kid. It has been awhile since I have been back and wanted to take the family. I almost forgot how relaxing the pools are. The pools are very clean and no sulfur or chlorine smell. Friendly staff. We had a great time and can't wait to come back. I recommend you... More

If you are going to Lava Hot Spring, ID, you are going to want to try the hot springs which are wonderful in winter. This facility is reasonably priced, clean and lots of good options to exerience the hot springs. There are different pools with different heat levels. Chaging rooms are fine with lockers for 50 cents. People were here... More
