The Waters are Great, the Hotel is Something Else

The natural hot springs pools at the Spa are fantastic. A number of pools, all with different temperatures and depths. The location is unique, right along the river. The hotel itself is something out of the "Twilight Zone". The rooms are good sized, but the furnishings are in desperate need of updating. Our room had a window AC unit in... More

We did not stay at the hotel, we only enjoyed the pools. The pools are fine, don't get me wrong. I just wonder why so many people in Salt Lake told me to go up there. There is a nearer nicer hot springs in Honeyville, Utah called Crystal Hot Springs. One thing this place does have over Crystal is its... More

This is a great place to take family or friends for a few hours of simple relaxation and conversation. The facilities are clean and there's something for people of all ages, including young children. There may have been people keeping an eye on things, but if so it wasn't obvious. People were left pretty much to their own devices, and... More

This place is HOT and clean. The daily soaking fee is very fair. The "pools" are flow through with pea gravel bottoms. There are varying temperatures to suit every visitor. The only negative is the women who staff the office. Don't let that detour you, well worth the visit

The water was warm & wonderful, the pool a bit busy, but that was expected for a Saturday on a 3-day weekend.

We went to the mineral pools off the main street in Lava. Cutest little town. Cost $7 each adult. I learned that the mineral pools don't have the smell that sulpher springs do and the minerals are good on the skin. They had 4 or 5 pools with variables on temperature. Had a nice, warm changing/shower room. Snack bar, although... More

I took my children and their friends to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho and we had a great time. We went to the Olympic pool rather than the hot tubs because it was too hot outside. The pool area was clean and they have good hamburgers and fries if you want a snack. I felt it was a little on... More

Husband and I went for one night and stayed in the Spa room. Very nice room with a huge heart shaped jetted tub. Their hot pools are much nicer than the community pools and I would recommend paying to use these but when you stay here, they are free to use. The Inn was quiet and within walking distance to... We mostly enjoyed our stay at the hotel after the shock of our rooms being across the street behind the local market. You have to take standard quality for the area into consideration when staying in Lava. I was however not ready for room to be located off property. It was not advised when booked over the phone or easily... More
