Historically thousands of sockeye salmon used to complete the 900-mile trek up the Columbia to the Snake and then Salmon rivers to Sawtooth Valley lakes. Once you visit here you will know why they were so determined to return. Nestled in the Sawtooth Mountains, the clear snow fed lake, while no longer teeming with red fish is still a boater's... We have never stayed here. But I ran the Half Marathon over Memorial Day weekend and had a great day trip with the family. The race itself was good for me. And it was nice for the family to have activities to do while I ran the race. The beach is great for he kids and they rented paddle boats... More

What a beautiful drive up to the lake from Sun Valley. That's worth it by its self. Such a beautiful setting everywhere up here. You can swim, rent kayaks, fish do anything. Not muck else to say but it's worth a day or two

We took the boat service to the opposite side of the lake; climbed the BENCH TRAIL back to RedFish Lodge (approximately 6 miles); kayaked the lake; sat under the trees and enjoyed the fast food.

Snow capped mountains, clear lake water, beautiful trees! I now understand why this area is one of the most photographed areas in Idaho.

Just south of Stanley, tiny little road about 1/2 mile back in, and Bingo.... beautiful lake and lodge. Great place to take a break, grab a snack and a drink, and just take in the experience... beautiful, and worth the stop.

We love this place! Go paste Redfish Lake Lodge & pay the extra $10 fee on the North Shore to relax & enjoy the lake. Pack a picnic & sit at the picnic benches with your towels, chairs & cold drinks. We swim out to the dock every year, it's fun, cold & refreshing once you make it to the... More

My husband and I were staying in Ketchum for 2 nights in early June 2014 and drove up to Stanley one morning and stopped here for lunch. Like a step back in time with clear views, adequate lunch choices from outside gazebo and fun people watching. We rented one of the smaller boats for an hour ($45) and were one... More
