Mack's Inn Playhouse is a summer stock dinner theatre located in Island Park, Idaho. In 2008, Andrew & Julie Durrant, began a lease on the building and changed the name from Mack's Inn Dinner Theater. The couple launched the theater into a new, fresh direction. The Playhouse offers family friendly musical spoofs. All food is cooked on site and meals offered include Prime Rib or Chicken. Past shows include: "Less Miserable;A Whole Lot LESS Miserable", "Butch Cassidy and the SUN Burnt Kid", "Phantom of the Grand Ole Opry", and "HOME School Musical". In 2012, the Durrant's packed up and moved to St. George Utah and started a year round dinner theatre called "Rattlin' D Playhouse". In May 2013, Lisa and Jeff Carter from West Yellowstone relocated the Pinecone Playhouse to occupy the space. Pinecone Playhouse at Mack's Inn continues to offer the very best in family friendly entertainment. Join us for live music and lots of laughs!

We were staying in the area and found out about the performance. It was reasonably priced and sounded entertaining. It exceeded everyone's expectations! The food was plentiful and tasty (we had the prime rib and loved it and our friends had the chicken and raved about it as well). When the show began we were amazed at the talent of... More

We had a fabulous time the dinner was great and the show was awesome . I definitely want to come back and see more shows. I loved pirates of the Caribbean. Dinner included prime rib, salad, beans, corn, baked potatoes and corn and an ice cream sandwich.

Was pleasantly surprised with the evening of fun that we enjoyed here in August 2014. The food was served buffet style and was satisfactory. No beer or wine available for purchase but they did advise us at time we made reservations that we could bring our alcohol. The fun began then after dinner. We attended a show entitled Klondike Kalamity... More

This was the 2nd trip to the playhouse for us. We saw "Les Mis" it was so funny and good. Actors did a great job. The warm up show was hilarious, enjoyed it very much! Dinner was great, and cinnamon rolls (As big as your head) to die for. We had a great time, will definitely do this again soon.

We went to the playhouse to see one of 3 plays they offered. It was a musical entitled "Lucky Stiff". It was your typical summer play with mostly students but was done well. Creative in costuming and scenery. The cast was creative when scenery faltered. The dinner was delicious. Prime rib, baked potatoes, corn, baked beans. It was served buffet... More

Worth our money for an evening of dinner and entertainment! The new owners have listened to their guests and made great improvements since last year. We attended Klondike Kalamity, a melodrama, this year and were quite pleased with the show. The actors/actresses were hilarious. Crowd interaction and ad-lib were reminiscent of years past and truly made the show. Young children... More

I enjoyed the atmosphere at Mack’s Inn Playhouse. Without a doubt a relaxing evening after a hectic day at Yellowstone because nothing bets a simple diner and a funny show for those weary bones. We all laughed, booed the villain and cheered the Canadian Ranger in Klondike Calamity. There’s tasty food about enough to fill you up but not too... More

Mack's Inn Playhouse recently came under new ownership, and it has become much better since then. We saw "Lucky Stiff" which was pretty funny, and the young actors were decently talented. As far as the food goes, I would highly recommend the prime rib, it is what I got and it was delicious. My Mom got the salmon, and it... More

We were visiting in the area and our friends suggested we all go to Mack,s Inn Playhouse. We saw the " Lucky Stiff" . It was very well done and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It started with a very nice dinner! We had the prime rib with all the trimmings. If you are in the area don,t hesitate! It will... More
