Though only on 7 acres, this zoo has animals from all around the world and the exhibits allow close viewing of many exotic species. This zoo participates in many SSP programs- helping to preserve many endangered species. Asian sloth bears, Siberian tigers, Red Pandas, Black footed penguins and many more. In the summer you can enjoy the PIP program= Penguin... More

The zoo is kept up well and has a fairly wide variety of animals. They seem to be always trying to upgrade and improve the animal displays and habitats. I know they do a lot of kids programs, just have no personal experience with them.

We planned on a visit today but luckily checked the website first. Last day of operation for 2014 was October 5th. And it sound like they don't open again until April 2015.

First the Zoo, it's not the largest, nor does it have the most animals, but what a great zoo for a small city, do folks realize they're so lucky to have this? Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My ! Plus, Penguins, Otters, Reptiles, Camels, Owls, Eagles, Primates, Lemurs, Red-tailed pandas, Snow Leopards, Zebras, Servals, Kangaroos, Emus, Flamingoes (that's fun... More

The zoo is not too big, but still has a nice variety of animals from around the globe. It is small enough that I walked it twice. All the animals were active and cool to see. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

The park was easy to get around and had a nice variety of animals. Nice attraction for children and families with young teens. There are a few educational shows that also allow for interaction with a few of the animal stars. Strollers were available to rent.

They had all sorts of animals I had never seen. Kids loved it, especially petting zoo and penguin feeding time. You can spend as little or much time there. We did 1.5-2 hours.

The Tautphaus Park Zoo is not a big park and what they do they do well. They have an excellent selection of animals and they are presented in nice enclosures. The grounds are shaded and landscaped and visiting the zoo is a very satisfying experience.
