Downata has several cabins and yurts for lodging along with a campground, picnic areas, tepee and wall tent rentals and more. The water facilities include a large naturally hot spring heated pool with three slides. There is also two large tube slides on the hill and a water playground, sauna and hot tub. Summer activities include lighted volleyball court, meeting room, snack bar, swim lessons, horseshoes, playground and several pavilions for family reunions. During the winter, steak and soak and pizza and pool deals are offered along with massages. A new pool log was added in the winter of 2011 for some steamy winter time fun. Downata is an old resort but the lodging is new and the owners are adding more improvements each year to this old hot springs resort. The campground has been going through several improvements and have more improvements planned for the summer of 2012. More restrooms have been added and tepees. Arthritis Foundation fitness classes are held year around. Come join us down at a hot springs. « less

the pool is clean and well maintained. The 'tube' is a super slide through which you are almost vertical and speed to the bottom where you slide into a shallow pool and come safely to a stop. More

My family and I just spent the weekend at Downata and had a wonderful time. We stayed at the Ranch House with another family, the house is huge and the kids loved the space and the basement playroom. As usual the pool was wonderful and the addition of the log roll was a hit with the kids. We enjoyed a... More

We have stayed at Downetta several times now. Though it doesn't have much life around it, it is a wonderful relaxation destination. I so appreciate how warm and welcoming the management team is. They are very kind and helpful, and do all they can to make your stay perfect. They water is great. Robyn gives a wonderful massage, and is... More

We had a family Christmas party here, and stayed the night in the big cabin. It was fun for everyone to go swimming and camping in the winter. We enjoyed it a lot, and had a plesant experience with everyone on the staff/management that we spoke with. They were very accomidating and friendly. We are looking forward to coming back... More

This year our family decided to spend our family Christmas Party doing something different. Downata was suggested and we all agreed. This was truly a fun time for all. The pool is wonderful for any little aches one may have and the children couldn't belive getting in an outdoor pool in the winter! Some of us stayed overnight and at... More

This place was the best place to go ! I agree with the previous post weeds and long grass looks terrible! I've been to this place many times but I took about a five year break. I was astonished at how run down it has become. This such a beautiful place and has awesome amenities, but even those amenities are... More

I have gone to Downata many times. I enjoy the camping and swimming experience all in one. However this past few days I stayed in the RV park and was very disappointed at how poorly kept up the RV areas and play areas are. There is dead or yellow grass everywhere. The RV areas are mostly dirt where grass used... More

Downata Hot Springs and campground claimed to be separate so it is fair to say that the pool portion is great. Staff are fun and friendly. Pools are clean, slides are fun. Great time. Campground is very outdated for newer LARGER TRAILERS whom they said they have space for. The host were very snotty and snobbed us everytime they drove... More

Everything was very clean. This is a wonderful place to bring the family year around. The lodging and dinner were a great value. Winter is the best time of year to come. The temperature in the large pool is perfect for swimming for hours. There is a baby pool and shallow area for kids. Soaking in the pool was the... More
