We really enjoyed this park. It was clean, well maintained, my kids LOVED the playground, and the beach looked like a lot of fun.

While on a recent trip to Coeur d'Alene, I had an opportunity to walk over to the park for a little while. There was a "water sports" event going on that day and vendors had brought out kayaks, canoes and other sports equipment and I think visitors were allowed to try them out. The park is large, very green and... More

Coeur d'Alene Park and Independence Point is usually one of our favorite spots for summer enjoyment. It is walking distance from our house and we thoroughly enjoy what the City of Coeur d'Alene provides in the way of Summer Concerts and events. For the third straight year, there has been a very unsavory element infesting the park on the 4th... More

The city gets an F for closing the freeway with no detour info ANYWHERE. Only after consulting our phone browsers did we find out it involved a officer shooting in Post Falls 12 hours prior with suspect already in custody. We canceled our stay here and painstakingly made our way westward to WA.

What a beautiful park on the water! This is what a downtown should look like. Our kids (almost 4 & 7) had a blast playing on the huge playground and water/splash area nearby. The library is also nearby as well as Tubbs Hill hiking trail. The city really did a nice job making this area the hub of the community.... More

Why I wasn't expecting much of Coeur d'Alene, I'll never know. But the city is gorgeous, and the park is a central waterfront feature. When I visited the park after dinner, there was a lot of sports action--volleyball in particular--and folks strolling along the waterfront. Yes, you pay a bit to park--no big deal. Nearby are boat rentals and the... More

Huge park with many trees giving shade to picnic areas. Playgrounds, the boardwalk along the beach, expansive lake views, boarder ing the historic Fort Ground neighborhood on one side and downtown with the Coeur d'Alene resort and it's Marina on the other.

We got some lunch and stopped here in the middle of a 12 hour drive. It was great for the kids to get out and play in the huge playground/fort area. The lake is beautiful. Clean restrooms. Just a dollar or two to park, not bad at all.

Park is clean, bathrooms are as clean as expected for old buildings. The kids area is VERY large and well done. So much to do. HUGE grassy area- room for all.

This is a great place to stop and get a view of the lake and walk along the boardwalk. It's also within walking distance of the shops and restaurants downtown. There's also access to the boat tours, etc... from here. Just make sure you remember to pay to park. I almost missed this the first time I visited there.
