AN IDAHO TRADITION Capturing the Unique Character of Every Vintage... Our goal at Ste. Chapelle is to capture the unique character of every vintage. Fine wine production in Idaho began in the 1860s, spurred by French and German immigrants. Indeed, the Pacific Northwest’s first wineries were in Idaho. In 1919, Prohibition shut down the state’s nationally renowned wine industry, but it was revived in the 1970s when wine grapes were again planted in southern Idaho’s Snake River Valley. The winery, founded in 1976, is open seven days a week. Experience the quality of Ste. Chapelle wines through wine tasting. For a $5 fee, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will guide you through a tasting of five wines. Tasting fee waived for our Friends of the Vineyard wine club members. Experience the Excitement of the Grape Crush... During fall harvest, visitors can experience the excitement of the grape crush in full swing. At other times, guides take guests through the cellars for an up-close tour of the processes of fermentation, aging and bottling. Beautiful, Elegant Facility & Award Winning Wines... Ste Chapelle Winery is a collage of fun, knowledgeable staff, award-winning wines and a beautiful, elegant facility. Our facility hosts weddings, corporate events, auctions, parties and meetings. Private Events - for additional information please complete our short "Request for More Event Information form" on our website, or contact our Hospitality Coordinator. The Ste. Chapelle Winery is the perfect getaway to host a memorable affair! Tours by appointment only, please call to make arrangements.

Ste. Chapelle has a nice tasting room with flights for purchase. Their wines are pleasant - probably the whites are their best and their award winning offerings. Upstairs is a large reception area with a gorgeous view of the Snake River and area. Many unusual and useful wine gifts are available for purchase. We love to come to the outdoor... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours at Ste Chapelle today. The winery has a wonderful hilltop view of the surrounding Western Idaho countryside. That view is enhanced by outdoor seating. They can support large groups coming up for wine tasting as well as couples. I found the wine comparable to Colorado's and Washington's.... More

Ste. Chapelle wines are one of our favorites & we were very excited for this visit. The place is beautiful, well kept & has a very friendly staff. We enjoyed our wine tasting. $5 for 5 wines & the glass you get to keep. Bought a case of wine & a couple more wine glasses. We couldn't have been happier.... More

The tastings are purchased by flight and you pace yourself. The newly renovated downstairs offers a much larger bar (so service is faster for new wine pours) and the seating inside is quite comfortable. There is also plenty of outside seating. You can order a few food items (cheese plate, hummus dip plate etc). They have an upstairs which hosts... More

We visited some different wineries for my birthday, and I have to say this is by far the best! The view was beautiful, the wine was great tasting and the staff was the very best. The staff knew their product and was able to recommend the wines that we would like,so we ended up buying a case!! Loved the whole... More

Stopped in while wandering through Idaho. Beautiful grounds and justifiably busy. Service was great, and I was able to get a bottle of this delicious wine. A must stop! I had no idea Idaho even had a wine region. I'll be looking for them back home. I would have stayed for wine and cheese but I was driving.

Ste. Chapelle is my favorite. I have been many times and it is fun every time I go. The employees are always very nice. The wine is very good and reasonably priced. There is also a discount if you buy a case, which I always buy. The grounds are very beautiful! Make sure you stop on your wine tour.

I love many of the Ste. Chapelle wines so for our anniversary my husband brought me here. The winery was everything I anticipated it to be! Absolutely magnificent views and we got to try a few wines we were unable to get at home. It was relaxing to sit on the deck and sip wine and take it all in.... More
