Not only that, but the Egyptian Theatre is home to a wide variety of interesting events in Boise. I've been there for opera performances, movies, and a comedy show. It's an interesting building, and worth checking out.

The Egyptian has been a Boise landmark since it opened. It harkens back to the golden age of cinema. The interior is over the top. They play current films and concerts there.

We mainly went to hear John Nemeth blues and the theater was a good, conveniently located venue, right downtown close to a parking garage

One of Boise's real gems. The decor is straight out of Egypt. The theater takes you back to the golden age of movie houses. There is even a great old organ and a beautiful balcony. Treat yourself to a classic movie here.

This is a really wonderful historic spot in downtown Boise. No matter what you are seeing there, a concert, movie, or play, you will enjoy your time here. Enjoy homemade delicious popcorn in this beautifully restored historical landmark with much gilded detailing.

The Egyptian theatre is one of the reasons I earned a degree in Egyptology. I remember going to movies there as a child and seeing the Egyptian designs everywhere... I was hooked. Even though it's used more for special events now, I'm glad it's still up and running. It is the most beautiful theatre in the state.

Old theater -I t was fun to go see a classic but the theater is a bot too large for me - people talking can be heard very well. Saets are old and not super comfortable.
