One of Boise's real gems. The decor is straight out of Egypt. The theater takes you back to the golden age of movie houses. There is even a great old organ and a beautiful balcony. Treat yourself to a classic movie here.

This is a really wonderful historic spot in downtown Boise. No matter what you are seeing there, a concert, movie, or play, you will enjoy your time here. Enjoy homemade delicious popcorn in this beautifully restored historical landmark with much gilded detailing.

The Egyptian theatre is one of the reasons I earned a degree in Egyptology. I remember going to movies there as a child and seeing the Egyptian designs everywhere... I was hooked. Even though it's used more for special events now, I'm glad it's still up and running. It is the most beautiful theatre in the state.

Old theater -I t was fun to go see a classic but the theater is a bot too large for me - people talking can be heard very well. Saets are old and not super comfortable.

This is the most magnificent beautiful theater I have ever been in. We have been to movies and a variety show here and it is always a good time! The snack bar is great to.

though it may not be ideal for rock concerts, it is a great place to go to a premier, watch an acoustic act, a play, recital, or anything of that nature! they always have fun events and premiers here!

Friends of mine helped restore the place many years ago. At one time the city was gonna knock it down, lucky for all of us it's still there. Concerts take place there, good movies and Matt Damon previewed one of his movies there.

This theatre was built in the 20s in the Egyptian style and was lovingly restored over twenty years ago to its former glory. It has been maintained in excellent condition since. It hosts special events, including classic old films and the Idaho Opera w;hich I recently attended. It is a great place to see opera because it is so intimate... More
