hard to believe you are minutes from a major University and vibrant downtown while walking these gorgeous, quiet trails. the city does a superb job maintaining this beautiful park and trails.

Funniest part of visit: Watching a local cross-country team swaggering around, bragging about how they'd "beat each other up the hill"...and seeing them burn out like cheap matches about 1/4 way up the hill- yeah, it's THAT steep. There are a couple of suicidal crazies who try to bike down this guillotine of a hill every so often. For your... More

Get to the hill top and you get a decent view of Boise. Quite a nice place for children. Nothing to eat but still OK.

This park is in the north end of Boise, just at the start of the foot hills, you can climb up from the nice grassy park to the top of a foot hill and look all over Boise. There are nice trees to sit under, bathrooms too. There is a hippy fair every late summer also.

The walk up Camel's back was not bad, was fun to see who could make it. The trails down the other side offered beautiful views and lots of photo ops.Very nice place to visit, glad I did!

The trail was steep but walkable. From the top, the viewport he city and surrounding hills and mountains is pretty amazing and beautiful. At the bottom of the hill is quite a large playground complex, which is very extensiveandvery attractive. It was in fact, so attractive to our grand baby that it was not without many tears and complaints that... More

Kids love this park because there's so much for them to do. There's plenty of things for them to play on and lots of grassy area to play sports. There's benches for the parents to sit on while the kids play.

Yes, it is a hiking trail you see. You will have to walk, and walk uphill. Not steeply or with any difficulty, but you have to climb to the vista. You cannot drive up, but it is worth the effort. Bring water, Boise is really desert country and this trail is on the southern exposure.

The most over hyped park in the whole US. North Enders get all uppity about how cool it is, but it's just a hill. That is very eroded. And a swing set and some grass. The Ridge to Rivers trails behind it are awesome. And not nearly as crowded.
