Pretty on the outside

Pretty building , from the outside, but unable to go inside ( Mormon rules ), so can't comment on the interior, unfortunately.

This building is so beautiful. We walked around it and enjoyed the lovely plants and quite setting. I was amazed at how peaceful it felt right next to a highway. Everyone there was very nice and polite.

Nice and Tranquil - even just walking around the outside of the temple. The grounds are very nicely kept, and open from morning until evening.

I was very impressed by the efforts to open the facility to the public and welcome everyone who was just curious. My children were also excited to see things for themselves. The atmosphere was friendly and the reception was first class.

Seriously, the Boise Temple has just reopened following extensive remodeling and expansion. The open house has just concluded (sorry if you missed it, really beautiful inside) and after the rededication on 18 November only church members will be allowed inside. You can visit the grounds and it is especially beautiful at night.

Who knew a building could be creepy? Not me! The architecture was interesting. Definitely weird how they have a swimming pool surrounded by 12 bulls. Not my kind of day spa. In all reality there is no way anyone else is getting in after dedication. Definitely not worth a detour.

Parking was a bit tricky with hundreds of people there, but we found parking ok. First you start off inside the church where you watch a video on the purpose of the mormon temples and why they are special to them. Then after the video (by the way very informative) you are escorted into the temple in which they guide... More

The Temple, normally closed to the public, is offering guided tours for the next few days (Oct 2012) following completion of a "major" renovation. You enter through the neighboring meeting hall, where you gather as a tour group and watch a video about the history of the Mormon church, from Joseph Smith, right up through their beginnings in Idaho. (Pretty... More

Temple grounds were beautiful. The people were warm and answered many questions. The new remodel was a pleasant surprise. They changed the stone from jagged to smooth. Thanks for answering questions.

This Mormon showcase is supposedly gogeous inside. Since it is restricted to "Temple Qualified" Mormons only, we will have to take their word for it.
