We have gone to many capitols but I have never seen so much marble in one place. It is beautiful. We went early on a Sunday morning and did not have a tour guide, but we managed to see all we wanted. I recommend seeing it.

So surprising to find a capital building that is open to the public on a Sunday with absolutely no guards or personnel around. It was possible to walk around in a peaceful environment while learning more about the history of Idaho. Nice, cool location for a hot summer's day!

If you have not visited the City of Boise, you would be well-advised to set time aside to see our beautiful Capitol Building. Not only will you be dazzled by its architecture and appointments, you'll learn a good deal of Idaho history. It's best to avoid making your visit here between the months of January to late March or early... More

We love wandering around the grounds inside and out. There is alot of history in this building and it is just gorgeous inside. I think an hour and you will have had your fill. There are exhibits that explain the political history of Idaho. I still can't believe that you can just tour the building without any problems.

First I have to say I've never been to another other Capitol building, so I can not compare it to others. However, I still was super impressed on our visit. There is so much information provided to you and the building itself is quite magnificent. We visited when we first moved here and have taken each of our guests when... More

What a nice building, free parking in area, lots of history explained concisely by a brochure available, and there are excellent wall, panels explaining the history of politics in this state. Some written for kids but all very helpful and well curated. There is something overtly friendly about westerners that we do not see in the east, we should be envious!
