My visit to Boise was motivated by my desire to visit the State Capitol, as I would eventually like to visit all 50. A week or so before my trip, I was double-checking the capitol website for information and was distressed to read that I should have reserved a tour two weeks in advance. I emailed anyway and, luckily, they... More

Visited shortly after we moved here. Great capture of Idaho history on the lower level. We were a little surprised at the lack of obvious security in the building but there were cameras all over the building so I'm sure we were being watched. Very beautiful building and worth visiting.

This is a beautiful building that is enjoyable to wander through and see where our local government makes it all happen!

We strolled down at dusk & the Capitol Building was lit up; the area appeared very safe, and well tended. B objected when I tried to ring their copy of the Liberty Bell, but I reasoned that if they didn't want it rung, the wouldn't have made it movable & put in a clapper...

We enjoyed reading all the interesting information about the state of Idaho. We followed the exhibit in the order suggested so that helped put the timeline in perspective of what was happening in the rest of the United States. It is one of the better state exhibits we have visited.

I have never seen this before how friendly! We then walk to the building and it is clearly marked as to... More

Beautiful Capital building and gardens around it. Close to great restaurants and shopping. It is easy to walk around the grounds and the adjoining downtown area. Parking is available for cheap.

It is truly a prominent capitol building situated at the bottom of the hill from the old train depot. It is quite pretty and rather imposing, so you are immediately impressed. Good for Idaho!

We have gone to many capitols but I have never seen so much marble in one place. It is beautiful. We went early on a Sunday morning and did not have a tour guide, but we managed to see all we wanted. I recommend seeing it.
