Went to visit the State Capital building around Christmas and to see the huge tree all decorated with lights. Never saw such a wide tree in my life. The capital was all lit up and it was pretty magical.

For those familiar with the Flat Stanley geography project for elementary students, this will make sense. We took our grandson, via Flat Ethan from Washington state, for a visit to the State Capitol. He was able to tour the entire beautifully renovated Capitol, including having his picture taken sitting in the governor's chair. All staff were familiar with this project... More

It is located in central downtown Boise and it's architecturally eye-pleasing. It's an interesting place to visit if you have never been. The marble and stone work is amazing! It's also a great place to take out of town family and friends so they can learn about the history of Idaho. It's Free to all and worthwhile to see!

The Idaho State Capitol building in Boise,Idaho is very beautiful with lots of great history. The marble floors, walls and stairs are beautiful. The building itself is very clean inside and out. It has 4 floors and the people there are very nice and are always happy to give you information on the building, sessions etc. I really enjoyed my visit there.

Each time we have hosted an international exchange student (5 total) for a school year we have brought him or her to see the capital building. Recently our first student from 1990-1991 returned with his family for a visit to Idaho. He asked to take his wife and daughter there as well. The views looking from below up to the... More

It's a very fascinating place and has a lot to see. It makes Boise a great city to live. The park around the building is so nice and they have places to eat lunch.

The Capitol is a nice place to see. It's really beautiful on the inside. It's also free and open to the public. It's worth a stop. We didn't see any tour guides when we went though - we just wandered around by ourselves.

Very nice to just go in and walk around. It seems to be open most days and you can visit a good portion of the building.

Got there too late to get inside, but took photographs of the building late in the day and then with it lit. What can I say, it's the State Capital Building!
