We love the Boise Zoo! It's small, but awesome! Every time we've gone, we've had a great time. It's one of our favorite places in Boise!

If you have a morning or afternoon free, and are looking for a fun outing, try Zoo Boise. Located in Julia Davis Park, in the heart of Boise, near to an art museum, historical museum, greenbelt, library, etc, Zoo Boise is worth a visit. Its a great time for the entire family, and, even though it is a smaller zoo,... More

We took our one year old grandson there for his birthday. I was impressed with all the improvements that had been made in the zoo since my kids went there years ago. They have quite a few animals and the animals appear to be well cared for and have nice large "homes". They also have a nice gift shop. A... More

The Boise zoo is great, especially in regard to the size of the city. Some of the large zoos are almost overwhelming and this one can be enjoyed in a morning or afternoon. Right nearby is a beautiful park, the discovery center science museum, art museum, and historical museum.

We make it a point to visit any zoo when we travel. We lucked out as all the animals were active during our visit. It's laid out really well and has plenty of spots to rest of get some shade. It was a nice morning outing for our family of 5.

This zoo is not too big or too small. It has many of the animals you would expect to see in a zoo. They have been improving and adding to the zoo for years.

We were in town for a wedding and needed something to do with the kids the next day and were delighted with our time at the zoo! The stroller/cart rental was only $5 and our boys (3 years and 1 year) loved every minute of it. My 3-year-old's favorite part was the mechanical dinosaurs spread around zoo.

I went here as part of my company's reserved evening at the zoo. I was impressed on how good the food was as well as how well the attractions were taken care of. This is definitely a family visit, but also good to visit with co-workers. Definitely will return. allow at least 3 hours to enjoy this zoo.

We visited the morning of July 4th. The zoo wasn't too crowded, but it heated up fast. There are a lot of nice exhibits crammed in a small space. There are several areas that charge extra for pretty lame things - like putting mealworms in a tube for a sloth bear to eat. $3? I dont' think so. Young children... More

This zoo was very small but still had lots of animals and things to do. Was very clean and well maintained .
