Fun day with the kids.

The Boise Zoo is a great family experience! It is small enough to enjoy in a day at a leisurely pace and large enough to have a good variety of animals and services.

Zoo Boise is a nice small zoo in downtown along the Boise River. Admission is reasonable. Glad I was there in the summer for the Butterfly display. Some of the animals were hard to see the way the fencing is set up. The food choices are standard, hot dog, hamburger, etc. The zoo has a boat ride attraction which was... More

A very nice zoo with lots of different types of animals! There was a butterfly exhibit that was really neat, but only there seasonally. The tigers were huge! The kids loved the penguins! For the small size of this zoo, it has a great variety of exhibits and some hands-on activities also. Definitely worth a visit with kids!

This is a much smaller zoo than I expected. They have no elephants, which was a major disappointment to my son. However, we got to the zoo when it first opened and most of the animals were awake and walking around. The 3 lions were especially entertaining (later in the day, they were all asleep). It was kind of a... More

Our 3 yo daughter loves going to this zoo and the size of the zoo works well for her as she can walk the entire zoo. There is a good array of animals, however several of the exhibits are pretty outdated by today's zoo standards. However for Boise it is a great family activity to partake in. They also offer... My title is a question that I heard from several of my grandchildren on our recent visit to Zoo Boise. The zoo is small, so I explained that there was no room for big animals like elephants. But there were so many displays under construction, that we missed many animals that we had seen in the past. Hopefully, we will... More

Boise zoo isn't the biggest zoo but it is still a great day to spend the day. There are places to eat inside or plenty of room to bring your own lunch in and stay awhile. There is so much to see and do. The best part are the different animals that you have the opportunity to feed (see zoo... More

I went to the zoo recently with my boyfriend, he didn't even realize we had a zoo in Boise since he lives in Caldwell. We had a really fun time going around and seeing the animals. Several animals were sleeping and relaxing because it was warm in the afternoon, I'm guessing they would be more active earlier in the morning... More

Our local Zoo here in Boise, Idaho. a great family outing with the kiddos at an affordable price. There are lots of animals to see and it is clean and easy to get around to see all the animals. You won't be walking for days like at larger zoos. Highly recommended for a fun family outing with the littles.

We were disappointed during our visit to Zoo Boise (there has to be a story why it is not called The Boise Zoo). The animal enclosures were old style. With steel bars with robust chain link fences and some plants. For a nice day the animals all seemed to be very inactive (bored) or out of sight. There way no... More
