We went for our son's 2nd birthday and showed up in time to feed the giraffes. What a fun experience! There are tons of animals to see but no elephants which was a bummer. We also got to go in the butterfly habitat and that was so fun as well! We've been to the zoo before but it's always a... More

This is a pleasant little zoo, would work ok for small children. Two problems I had with this zoo compared to other city zoos 1) layout with the pathways and exhibits did not flow, you will need do a fair bit of backtracking as there are dead ends everywhere. 2) the animals are lacking, ie there are no gorillas, rhinos,... My family and I go by the Boise Zoo once or twice a year. We usually try to go in the fall, when the leaves are changing. We only go on off days. The zoo is set in the trees and most of the animal have decent enclosures. It just take an hour or two to walk through the park.... More

We visited the zoo on Family Thursday for discounted ticket admission. My kids and I have been to the San Diego Zoo a couple times, so I did prepare them that this was a smaller zoo and wouldn't have every single animal like other large zoos. We ended up being very happy with our trip here! Just by the admission... More

Zoo was ok for a city the size of Boise. Small but clean and enjoyable for kids who haven't been to a larger zoo like Seattle, Houston, or San Diego. Area around the zoo is nice and clean.

This zoo is perfect for an afternoon with small children. Not too big and lots of the major players: zebras, giraffe, monkeys, etc. There is a nice snack bar and lots of shade as you walk around.

This is a great little zoo in the middle of a beautiful park. Not particularly large in size but great lay out for viewing the animals. Ground hog exhibit is just great!!!

While this is a small zoo, it is great to take young children to. It is not so large that little feet can't walk the paths. Enough animals to keep young children's interest but older children would probably find it lacking. Many of the enclosures were empty which was a disappointment.

This is a great place to bring the kids. Plenty to see and the zoo is well laid out so the little ones can enjoy seeing the animals without wearing out their little legs (or yours for that matter). There is a gift shop (of course) and several places to eat, with the restrooms located close to the eating places.... More

One of the saddest zoos I have ever seen. We were there midday, and the animals were mostly sleeping. But the animal accommodations were too small and the smell was atrocious. I think the attempt was to make it a natural habitat, but that is it not successful. This zoo is what gives zoos a bad name,
