Couldn't get my two boys ages, 2-3 out of the gopher hole exhibit!! They were fascinated with the sloth bear. It was perfect for us that some playground equipment was intergrated throughout. Nice park, great value. thanks.

Let me just say, I hadn't been to the Boise Zoo in years and they have really improved it sooooo much! It is interactive and thoughtfully arranged so each area is much like the animals natural environment. Children and adults will enjoy spending time here. We took several hours seeing everything (the red pandas were super cute) but the best... More

Small zoo in downtown Boise by the river. Not a lot of animals, but a nice little mix. We've held our company picnic here the last 2 summers and they seem to always be updating and making improvements.

I like the size and intimacy at this zoo- often you are the only one in front of an animal- so you know they are really looking at you. My kids can almost see the entire zoo twice- as they run the first time through. Its totally manageable and I have never seen a big crowd

Came to this zoo during a break for my work. It is small, but cute. Many of the animals were not on display, but most did not have reasons why. Many signs pointing to jelly fish but there were two very small tanks to see. This is the closest I have ever been to lions, so I did enjoy that.... More

This was my first time to Zoo Boise. I took my children, ages one and three. They enjoyed seeing all the animals. My three year old absolutely loved the big giraffe slide- it's a definite kid stop along the way. The animals all looked healthy and happy. It wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be for... Spent a morning at this zoo. It is small, but very kid friendly. Had a petting zoo of goats which we were able to feed by placing a quarter in machine and getting pellets of food. Our grandson loved this activity. We were looking for the giraffe and when we found it, we could only see it on the other... More

Zoo Boise, is a smaller, older zoo, but they are constantly trying to do what they can to improve. One of the things I love about our zoo is how healthy the animals look... I have been to zoos where they seemed underfed, old, and depressed, and even when our leopard was old she still looked pretty healthy. There is... More

For the last 40 years I've been stopping into Zoo's in every city I've visited around the world, and that's a lot of Zoos. In that continuum Zoo Boise ranks "OK", It's good that Boise has a Zoo, but there isn't anything particularly remarkable about it, and it's a bit poorly laid out. The highlights are the animals, of course.Red... More
