We were in Boise for an event held at the Julia Davis Park. This is a large green oasis along the river in the middle of down town Boise. Across the river is Boise State University. A long biking and walking path follows the river through this park. There is a zoo, rose garden, art museum, paddle boats on a... More

This is a quiet little city park along the river bank, directly opposite the campus of Boise State University. There is free two hour parking along the drive, so I got out of my car and walked to a bridge that crosses the river to take some pictures. There were people wading in the river, a few fishing, and several... More

My husband and I love to go to Julia Davis Park when we have time to kill in Boise. Walking through the Rose Garden is always fun, and listening to the sound of Animals at the zoo next door. Its a great place to bring a blanket, lay on the grass, and have a picnic.

This park has a lot things to see and do. There are museums, the zoo, paddle boats, and the river walk. This is also an excellent place to go for a walk or run. You can walk around the zoo and may even see the giraffes looking over the wall at you. There are lots of large trees that offer... More

A sunny but cool weekend in Boise with plenty of time for wandering? Take yourself and your senses to the Rose Garden in the Julia Davis Park. Our mission was the Art Museum, but we wandered through the smallish rose garden with pleasure - admiring the many varieties of lovely, aromatic roses. This could be a short part of a... More

Julia Davis Park is a greenbelt stop. It has a rose garden, wide open spaces, connects with the Boise Zoo, the Anne Frank Memorial, Boise Art Museum, and is across the street for the Idaho Museum. Its a great place for a walk, picnic, and a learning experience.

Today I went to the Julia Davis paddle boat rental shop and as I was waiting for my boat to arrive, the owner/operator of the paddle boat shop had her dog off its leash and instructed the dog towards a mother goose and her babies in a "sick them" fashion. The dog ended up attacking a baby that was running... More

This park was dedicated to. Julia Davis, by her land barren husband, following her death. It is designated for gathering space only ... Including picnics, playing, visiting, events. But had it written into the deed that if it was built upon or used for other purposes, the property would revert back to he ( or his family). It is a... More

Julia Davis Park is the old Davis orchard given to the city many years ago. It was one of the first parks along the Boise River of the many that line the river today. The greenbelt runs through it, as does the Boise River along its southern border. The bridge to BSU is handy and gives another view of the... More
