A Great Spot of Children

The discovery center is a must do with the kids every time we come home to Boise for a visit - educational and fund, it doesn't get much better than that.

I came here with my mom (I am 24 years old) and we had so much dang fun, we couldn't stand it. We always come back here when we have some free time and are in the mood for something fun and a little mind-bending. They've got the massive bubble-maker and tons of other cool science-y stuff. Kids would definitely... More

When visiting Boise to see the grandchildren we like to take them to the discovery center. The 4 year old has been there so often that Che could be a docent. The two year old loves it too. Recently closed for renovation it should come back bigger and better. Loaded with hands on exhibits, simple machines it provides a learning... More

My favorite thing about the discovery center is that you can always find something new to learn. I think it's ideal for readers on up to adults. It's a misconception that this is a kids place. It can be fun for kids and adults alike! It's a great rainy day activity if you're out of good books to read or... More

This facility is not high on the list. It is a non-profit I encourage people to donate to it and make it better. The do have some interesting exhibits but I think could use some large donations to take it up a few notches.

The kids LOVE this place! Tons of hands-on activities for them to touch and do. They have new exhibits that come in every few months, plus all of the regular exhibits. Many times they have live demos where a staff member will demonstrate and explain some scientific principles. These are awesome! We can easily spend several hours here in a... More

We first visited DCI shortly after moving to town. For the price of two visits for my family, we could afford a yearly pass, so we did. The pass gets us a discount in the store and reduced prices to certain exhibits that are more costly. We visit about every month, and it's been a great indoor place to be... More

There are a lot of hands-on experiments for the youngsters. They see, hear, and touch science here. It's fun to watch the expressions on children's faces as they participate in an experiment or demonstration.
