There are a lot of hands-on experiments for the youngsters. They see, hear, and touch science here. It's fun to watch the expressions on children's faces as they participate in an experiment or demonstration.

Fun place to take the family. Went when I was in grade school. I would love to go again. It has a bunch of hands on activities.

Lots and lots of interesting exhibits that can entertain both kids and adults. The fizzology (bubble) temp exhibit, though small, was amazing and well run. Great way to beat the summer heat.

I liked that this is a hands on place. My kid loved doing the experiments. It is not a large place, but there was enough to do.

What a great place for families with kids who are inquisitive! My 9-year old granddaughter absolutely loved it and especially liked the make-a-movie display.

I live in Boise and have been in and out of the Discovery Center for perhaps 10 or more years. The center has many interactive science displays that engage people of all ages. It is easily Idaho's best science museum.

The Discovery Center is a fairly good venue for short field trips or a couple of hours of summer entertainment for kids. It is a pretty large space with a variety of different hands-on displays that change every few months or so. The Center is meant to provide opportunities for exploring science, art, and other educational matters. It is possible... More

Today, instructor Daniel introduced magnets to pre-schoolers and helped start them on the path towards understanding what magnets do and how they work. This is just one of many science "short-subjects" scheduled here. So, you could, for example, make Wednesday mornings a child's "science day." Parental supervision is necessary. Other rooms contained various working displays highlighting sound, light, motion, static... More

I have been coming to the Discovery Center since I was a kid. I love all the hands on learning. I think they have adult nights with beer and wine now too. Definitely something I want to check out.
