Front desk assistant was very helpful, I can't remember his name, I think it was Sean. He was very nice and very accommodating. We weren't sure if photography is allowed inside the museum and they told us it is allowed. And at the end of our visit, we had to participate and we even got a souvenir glass. It was... More

Visited the museum to view the 150 exhibits from around the State. Clean, quiet and well laid out. My parents enjoyed the history as well.

My child's school went there and I volunteered to go with them on the bus. It was the best. My child was doing a report about Indians, and she really gathered a lot of information for her report. Se got an A-. But that's okay. :)

This little museum was a favorite place in Boise from a first visit there and remains so. It is jam-packed, however, so you will want to take your sweet time. I would not bring small children, even in strollers, unless very small and possibly asleep. I made this error with my 2 1/2 year-old grandbaby, and it ended up be... More

While its not a huge museum, it has a wide variety of information from around the state. Some of the special events, like the Dia Las Muertos altars in November, are worth checking out. Staff were very friendly and they had a scavenger hunt for the kids. You could easily do the tour in 1-2 hours, with short attention spans... More

For a quick and easy peak at what Idaho is all about, this was perfect. Price was only $5 for adults. Bright and interesting displays with lots of info about the Lewis & Clark Expedition, too. We'd followed their trail along US-12 the day before so this was a great way to reinforce the driving experience. By the way, this... More

This is a terrific museum centrally located in Boise at the Julia Davis Park on the river. It is so well-done and we really enjoyed our tour of it. We learned so much and the pioneer village outside is really interesting. I would definitely take your family there or go like my hubby and I did on our anniversary trip.... More

If it had just been just the permanent exhibits, this would have been a quick, but interesting tour. They have very nice things here, like whole Victorian rooms on display. While we were visiting, however, they also had an extensive display of the 100 best things about Idaho (or something like that) with many, many thing s to look at... More

The "Essential Idaho" display which runs through the rest of 2013 is one of the best museum displays I have ever seen. I am really interested in Idaho history and this display included a lot of info I had never seen before. The stuff I did know was well and entertainingly presented. The rest of the museum was kind of... More
