WOW! The Boise River Greenbelt is an urban treasure! We only had time to walk a few miles on it after dinner during a one night stay in Boise. We started at the lovely Julia Davis Park and walked towards and well beyond the Idaho Anne Frank Memorial. It was Friday evening and the walkway and river were both bustling... More

There are so many greats areas of the Greenbelt. We have been here a year and still have many places to visit. We have biked on the path and just walked. It is also a great spot to grab a bite to eat and just people watch. So many paths and parks along the way, you just have to pick... More

I rented a bike (via Social Bicycles app, $4 per hour) from one of the many bike stands the city oversees. It was terrific, particularly on a weekday, more crowded on Saturday but doable. Boise River flows adjacent. Great for pedestrians, too. The zoo (with Giraffe peeking over back wall) is accessible from Greenbelt as so many attractions are. Kudos... More

The greenbelt runs 41 miles through Boise towards Eagle. The path is paved and partially shaded if you ride on the north side of the river through downtown Boise. Plenty of places to stop for a dip in the river, picnic, and bathrooms with water fountains.

Nice to have this available ~ walking, biking, Trikking (check that out!). Quite scenic so you might want to take pictures. Most areas seem safe but I doubt I'd go alone unless it is close to a peopled area, although others do. I don't know the exact length but it runs through Garden City and all through Boise, Idaho.

What a awesome place to walk, run or ride a bicycle.,it traverses the Boise River almost all the way so you get to see all the "floaters" go by in the summer. Very family and pet friendly.

We stayed at the Riverside Hotel over Father’s Day weekend while in town for a family wedding. The hotel is perfectly situated along the Boise Greenbelt and the river, and was a fabulous location for wedding and family photos, especially with the bridge that crosses the river a short walk away from the hotel. Lots of bikes and pedestrians enjoying... More

My Husband and I walked the Greenbelt every day during a visit for a family wedding. It is a remarkable accomplishment that the city has devoted so much to make it a place that everyone can enjoy...bikers, walkers, runners, dog walkers. Wish we had time to explore it in its entirety.
