Walking, biking, skating, running are just a few of the things to do along the Boise greenbelt. Wonderful place to feel like you're away from the city without being that far away. Great for bird watching, wildlife watching. There are parks spread throughout the greenbelt. Pick one and stop for a picnic. But definitely spend some time there.

The Greenbelt runs a portion of the length of the Boise River, and can take you right downtown from some of the surrounding areas. It is great for walking, running, and biking, although there are some portions that are a bit rough and need some work. there are several places with benches to stop and rest, and parks along the... The water seemed clean and clear and the path well maintained. Beautiful homes nearby, saw lots of tubers lazily tubing down the Boise River, having a great time.

This is an incredible defining feature of Idaho's capitol city. While the path follows both side of the Boise River throughout town, it extend east to Lucky Peak Dam and west to Eagle. Popular with joggers, walkers, and bikers. Very vibrant and safe during daylight hours.

What a tremendous surprise to find 25 miles of pristine, gorgeous open space for recreation in the middle of the state capital. It is quiet and diverse, with pretty views of the river along the way and then, as you go on, the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The trail is busy enough so that I, as a solo female... More

Very nice set of paved paths along and adjacent to the river. Lots of nice parks, mountain views, and very pretty residential areas. The path also goes through a very nice nature center, is close enough to take a short detour and head over to the Capitol, and goes through the Boise State U campus. It's pretty well-marked and there... More

We walked several miles on the greenbelt on a Sunday morning. It was peaceful and refreshing. Other trail users were courteous and friendly.

Much of the trail is along the river. It's slow in the downtown (no surprise). Great route out to Lucky Peak Park.
