One of best things in Boise if you live here or are visiting.

Boise has a beautiful green belt for walking, biking, etc. Sometimes it's along the river, sometimes not. It's a beautiful, peaceful area.

Once we found the trail we biked for 10 miles one way and then back. There are some really rough areas with lots of cracked pavement and raised bumps. It was scenic and well used. I'm not sure I would want to ride it on the weekends if there were more users than there were on a Thursday.

We took a group stand up paddle boarding down the Boise from Barber Park to the Wave. Small portage to avoid a dam, but easy for ages 12 and up. You could also rent a tube, raft or bring your own. Small fee for parking at some of the parking lots. Man people use the wave for surfing, body board... More

Best time to go is in the fall, when the leaves are changing color. I have always loved the greenbelt. I take my kids and dog and we go for miles.

Great place to people watch, hang out, walk and meet nice dogs. Beautiful birds and a huge variety of plant life.

Boise's greenbelt runs a 26+ mile length of the Boise River in the city and beyond. A well-conceived, much used and much appreciated gem.

I walk this Greenbelt a lot and always see something new every time. It is nice to see the volunteer patrol as well as the police that patrol it.

Great bike path for walking, biking, etc. Runs through Boise so excellent way to between east side and downtown. River access and viewpoints and parks connected along the path. Nice way to get some exercise and/or get from one place to the other.

Wonderful place for a bike ride. My wife and I borrowed bikes from our hotel and went for a relaxing bike ride on this path in the heart of downtown Boise. This is a must do while visiting. Nature in the heart of the city. It runs for 26 miles. Mostly flat and ideal for families.

I rented a bicycle with my daughter in tow and biked along the river for several miles last Labor Day and are going again this Labor Day. Very fun, scenic and beautiful with parks every few miles. Highly recommend and agree with Tripadvisor that this is the #1 thing to do in Boise.
